From Childhood Fantasy to Victorian Parasols on Etsy

My story begins as something akin to a C.S. Lewis novel in a spare room closet. I was four years old in search of a unicorn (my grandparent's over-stuffed plush toy with the floppy horn).
I found instead in the dark corners discarded cloth - delicate, white, and beautiful. Forgetting search all things mystical, I arrayed myself in adventure. I walked down my grandfather’s hallway with a sheer pillow case on my head and a curtain across my shoulders, I was a beautiful bride.

From that moment on, everything was a costume. We played dress-up for hours. As the years went by, my childish obsession turned into a job opportunity as a walking exhibit at our local museum. I was in the paper. I was elated. I was inspired. My friends and I volunteered at festivals and events, all in outfits made from recycled materials. One day someone mentioned Etsy and that was just the beginning!

I work with many materials, fabric, metal, and plastic. Whenever I find affordable vintage, I restore and add it to my shop. I love to work with recycled materials, making something new from something old excites me. Recently, we started a new line of upcycled prom dresses, altering resale shop dresses to create an entirely new look.

Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept returns and exchanges

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalised orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
RETURNS:

1.) BUYER'S REMORSE: We do accept returns in such cases, we understand this happens. We will issue a full refund with small *re-stocking fee, if the "Return Instructions" are completed as outlined below.

2.) "LATE" ARRIVAL: If you item takes longer than the time we specified in the shipping selection, then we will issue a full complete refund, if the "Return Instructions" are completed as outlined below. If your item is considered "late" by your estimations, but is still within the shipping times that we specified in the shipping selection, then we will not issue a refund. (You can still request a refund under the Buyer's Remorse conditions.

To Receive a Refund for a Return:
a.) Contact us, stating your reason within 14 business days of package delivery
b.) Return the item to the address we provide at that time

Refunds will be issued upon receipt of goods in original condition.

LOST / OR DAMAGED
1.) LOST PACKAGE: For tracked items, if the package does not arrive, and is verified as not delivered via the tracking number, a full refund of sale price + shipping will be refunded.

2.) DAMAGED GOODS: If the item is damaged in shipping, we will issue a refund upon approval of return, and pictures of damage. Approval is given when the following conditions are met: a.) We are notified of damage and receive pictures of the damage, and b.) after we have contacted the correct parties. Refund for damaged goods take approximately 5 business days upon receipt of pictures.

3.) REFUSING A PACKAGE: If a package is refused, a partial refund will be given upon receipt of the package. Refused packages can take 2-3 months to arrive back at our facility from the courier. If the items are received in good condition, sale price will be refunded, minus a 25% restocking fee, shipping will not be refunded. Basically, it is not in your best interest to refuse a package, contact us for a refund arrangement.

* Restocking fee for Buyer's Remorse 2017. Current restocking fee is 20% of sale price.

For example: If you buy an item for $10 + $5 shipping. A re-stocking fee of $2 will be deducted from your total refund, making your refund $13.

** Refused package refund example: If you buy an item for $10 + $5 shipping, and refuse the package. A re-stocking fee of $3.75 will be deducted from your total refund, and we will not refund the shipping cost, making your refund $6.25.

Everything ships in 1-2 days unless otherwise stated.
Please allow for allotted transit times as follows:

Shipments from Canada to USA can take 5 -10 business days.
Shipments within Canada take 3-5 days.

International shipments ship by surface mail, please expect 4-6 weeks plus additional customs clearance time as per your country's policy. If you would like express post, please contact me for price!

We can't ship to a PO Box, so full address is required. *All lingerie: kimonos, shifts, etc can not be returned.

Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.

If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.

Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
