I did receive my item on time. 😊
I love everything about the bowl...the size, colour, shape, and texture. I particularly love the contrast of the colours and textures . I love how it feels when I hold it. It is delicate and strong at the same time. I love all the pieces from Aunt Magda.

My beautiful Aunt Magda Ceramique mug and saucer arrived last night and I'm now delighting in drinking my morning coffee. The China has a lovely feel - substantial, yet with a purity of design that gives a sense of gracefulness. The delicate images of the wildflowers (Corn Cockle? Hawkweed? Bladder Campion? Would love to know what they are!) are exquisite. I can't wait to purchase more items from Aunt Magda Ceramique. Renee's work is beautiful.

I ordered 2 bowls and when they arrived June 15 one was in several pieces. I emailed Renee and got an immediate reply that a replacement was on its way. Fantastic! When it still hadn't arrived by July 6 I sent a message asking when I should expect it to arrive. Still have not received a response . The one bowl I do have is lovely and if I had gotten 2 or a replacement in a somewhat speedy time frame ie not a month, I would definitely have give more stars on my review . Barb

Hi Barb, I am very sorry to hear that you were disappointed by the time it took replace your bowl. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to ship out new items on a short timeline, as most of my pieces are handmade to order. Nonetheless, I take your comments to heart. I understand that my communication could have been more transparent, and I’m sorry that I didn’t communicate my timelines more clearly. Although I take the utmost care in packaging all of my pieces for shipping, accidents can sometimes occur en route, and even the most carefully packed box can sometimes face harsh handling that overcomes my efforts. Of course, I was more than happy to replace the bowl at no charge, and it should be arriving shortly. I sincerely hope that you will get many long years of joyful use out of it!

    Growing out of Clay.

I was initiated to ceramics by a friend's mother who had a studio in her home. She taught me the basics like how to throw and hand build and guided me to make my first teapot. Since then, I have found a way to incorporate ceramics into my life through community centers or anywhere I could get my hands on some clay.

I decided to enroll in university to do a fine arts program with a major in Ceramics, but after my first year, I decided that I needed to learn more technical skills. I found a school in my city that offered a degree in ceramics as a potter and have completed a 3 year program there.

In 2013, I started selling my work at different craft sales in and around Montreal. Not long after I got my start, I started having health issues which left me questioning whether I could even continue making and selling ceramics for a living. Slowly, through a guided process of healing, and many different therapies, I developed my own way of working with clay which is mainly hand-building.

I have found that this technique, along with listening to my body and taking care of myself, allows me to continue my craft. I have since developed two separate collections of hand-built pieces and one decorative collection.

I am so grateful for the people who have continued to support me through my journey. For my family who help me in every way they can and to my life partner who also helps out at every opportunity. I am also thankful to my friends who support me by helping out with shows and by collaborating on so many projects to help my business grow and shine!

I have been doing ceramics for 9 years and am in love with the process and medium of this craft. I completed a degree in 2013 in ceramics at college in Montréal, Qc. I have since set myself up in a lovely little studio at the Chat des Artistes.
