QUANTO?
Il prezzo base è di $ 90 per una coperta di dimensioni adulte da 15 libbre. Ogni chilo in più è $ 2, e se vuoi più leggero di 15 sterline, sottrai $ 2. Ad esempio, una coperta da 17 libbre costa $ 94. Una coperta da 13 sterline costa $ 86. La spedizione è un costo aggiuntivo ed è determinata dal codice postale di dove viene inviata la coperta. La spedizione di solito cade tra $ 10 e $ 25.

CHE COSA?
Queste sono coperte pesate fatte a mano. La dimensione standard è 40 "x 72", ma se vuoi una dimensione diversa, basta chiedere!
Sono realizzati in un tessuto di flanella (cotone spazzolato) molto morbido. È 100% cotone e lavato e asciugato prima che la coperta sia fatta. Uso detersivo per il lavaggio non profumato e ipoallergenico. Posso anche usare il tessuto per trapuntare in cotone, che è liscio ma non morbido, ed è più leggero della flanella, quindi è più fresco. Anche Minky (semplice o punto) è una possibilità, ma solo per un lato della coperta (quindi userei cotone o flanella dall'altra parte). Il riempimento è in polietilene di plastica (lo stesso tipo di materiale che si trova nei bambini con berretto).
PER CHI?
Queste coperte sono ottime per chiunque abbia autismo, disturbo dell'elaborazione sensoriale, insonnia, sindrome delle gambe senza riposo, ansia, ADHD, PTSD o chiunque ami la terapia a pressione!
I bambini dovrebbero usare coperte più piccole e leggere rispetto agli adulti. Trova il peso per la coperta di un bambino prendendo il 10% del loro peso corporeo + 1 libbra. Un bambino di 70 libbre, ad esempio, userebbe una coperta da 8 libbre. Una coperta larga 30-36 "potrebbe essere più adatta. Per la lunghezza, suggerisco circa 8-12 "più lungo di quanto il bambino sia alto, per consentire spazio alla crescita. Posso fare qualsiasi dimensione o peso.
Gli adulti a volte preferiscono coperte più pesanti di quelle che la formula dà. (Una persona di 130 libbre potrebbe preferire una coperta da 17 libbre, per esempio.) In caso di dubbio, vai sul lato più leggero.

POSSO LAVARLO?
Queste coperte sono lavabili in lavatrice. Lavare a ciclo delicato in acqua fredda e asciugare a fuoco basso. Consiglio di lavarlo solo quando assolutamente necessario, poiché il lavaggio indebolisce il tessuto e può accorciare la vita della coperta. Lavare solo in una lavatrice che non ha un agitatore.
Per proteggere la tua coperta, ti consiglio di metterci sopra un lenzuolo aderente, che ti aiuterà a mantenerla pulita e fornirà una barriera contro l'impigliamento o lo strappo da artigli di animali domestici o telai del letto. Posso anche realizzare copri coperte appositamente per la tua coperta, con qualsiasi tessuto e con bottoni a scatto lungo il bordo inferiore per fissare la copertura.

CHI SEI?

HOW MUCH?
The base price is $90 for a 15lb adult sized blanket. Each extra pound is $2, and if you want lighter than 15 lbs, subtract $2. For example, a 17lb blanket is $94. A 13 lb blanket is $86. Shipping is an additional cost and is determined by the zip code of where the blanket is being sent. Shipping usually falls between $10 and $25.

WHAT?
These are handmade weighted blankets. The standard size is 40" x 72", but if you want a different size, just ask!
They are made from a very soft flannel (brushed cotton) fabric. It is 100% cotton and washed and dried before the blanket is made. I use unscented, hypoallergenic washing detergent. I can also use cotton quilting fabric, which is smooth but not soft, and is lighter weight than flannel, so it is cooler. Minky (plain or dot) is a possibility too, but only for one side of the blanket (so I would use cotton or flannel on the other side). The filling is plastic poly pellets (the same type of material that's in beanie babies).
FOR WHOM?
These blankets are great for anyone with Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Insomnia, Restless Leg Syndrome, Anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, or anyone who likes Pressure Therapy!
Children should use smaller and lighter blankets than adults. Find the weight for a child's blanket by taking 10% of their body weight + 1 lb. A 70 lb child, for example, would use an 8 lb blanket. A blanket 30-36" wide might be better suited. For the length, I suggest about 8-12" longer than the child is tall, to allow room for growth. I can make any size or weight.
Adults sometimes prefer blankets heavier than the formula gives. (A 130 lb person might prefer a 17 lb blanket, for example.) If in doubt, go on the lighter side.
CAUTION: A person should never use a weighted blanket unless they are capable of removing it.
CAN I WASH IT?
These blankets are machine washable. Wash on gentle cycle in cold water, and dry on low heat. I advise washing it only when absolutely necessary, since washing weakens the fabric and can shorten the life of your blanket. Wash only in a washing machine that does not have an agitator.
To protect your blanket, I recommend putting a fitted sheet over it, which will help keep it clean and provide a barrier against snagging or tearing from pet claws or bed frames. I can also make blanket covers specifically for your blanket, out of any fabric and with snaps along the bottom edge to secure the cover.

I'm an autistic 20-something who loves making blankets. My goal is to make them as affordable as possible while still maintaining quality and durability. I was inspired when I wanted a weighted blanket for myself but couldn't afford the $200 most places asked for a twin sized blanket.
