About

I'm joyfully playing the alignment game with source! Join me?

I've been evolving on a spiritual path as an artist for my entire life. I'm 45 now but this is something I am just starting to admit publicly. I've learned to just Be and to allow the art to flow through me from source. My path is joyful, peaceful and always more blissful.

As a child, whenever I talked to friends and family about the questions that kept me up at night, questions such as: What is my place in the world? Why are we here? What is the meaning of life? most of them would look at me as though I had antennae growing out of my head.

Embarrassed, but determined, I went inwards and created from that space. Sparks of consciousness would emerge from the light at the end of the tunnel. I would draw or paint a piece and then, I would file it away and forget about it. Sketchbooks filled to the brim, years went by and life took over and the system locked me in. I left the family nest at 16, I went to art school with high hopes but quit a year and a half into the program. I couldn't find the heart in the art they forced me to make. Broken and skeptical, I followed my dad's wisdom, (bullying), misguided but well-intentioned advice went to University and racked up 30K of student debt to study foreign languages and political science. Diploma in hand, I quickly got a good job, then a better one, then an even better one, eventually a great one, and finally a FANTASTIC job in IT and then my boss told me that at the salary he paid me, he owned ME and MY time. F* That.

I quit the rat race, on the spot. Marched out. Slammed the door. Never looked back. Got the T-shirt and burned it. I Decided I would devote every ounce my time and energy here on earth to help ohers, for FREE. I went inwards, but without my colors.

I was 28, over 30k in student debt, but determined. My inner flame flickered tiredly in the wind and I wondered what my purpose was? One beautiful spring day, I saw a plus sign. My baby, my beautiful boy, my beloved son entered my existence and nothing would ever be the same again.

Joy! Gratitude! Unconditional love. I became the Mother. The one responsible for his inner flame, his soul, his life, his future, his planet. Not wanting to raise him in concrete, or the burbs, I sold and gave everything away and moved to the heart of the forest. By that time, he was three. Now fully devoted to this pure being of love and light, I knew. My mission, my purpose and my reason for being here on earth, was to protect his inner light, at all costs.

The transformation was shocking, In just a few short years, I went from being a successful (workaholic) senior project manager for a web development firm at the height of the dot-boom to being a mother, a nurturer, a protector, a tree hugger, a teacher, a creator, and a seeker. From my cocoon, I could feel the wings that were emerging and mused they would go well with my antennae.

I moved from masculine to feminine energy and lost my ability to generate money and compete with the world. I chose voluntary simplicity. Unplugged, got off the Grid and let go. Deep breaths. I connected to the wind and the stars, fire, water and the earth. I welcomed the seasons and danced in the moonlight. I rocked him to sleep and woke early to rise and shine with him. I learned to notice the messages the Universe was sending through animals and music and friends or random people. I paid attention and became intentional, one thought, one word and one action at a time.

I went inwards and made sense of my feelings about my past and from that place, I created. My inner child would lay giant pieces of paper on the floor and mischievously pour buckets of paint as festive music created momentum. My son and I would push paint with our hands, fingers, toes and even our noses- if we felt like it. Together, we laughed, played, learned and created. I told him he could be or do anything he wanted in this world. -Ok mom, but that's not true, he said one day. I want to fly, but I have no wings and you are an artist who never shows her art. He was 7.

Truth! To truly step into my purpose and to Be who I am, I knew I had to walk the talk. How else would he learn to create a life that would be aligned with the greater part of himself?

Timidly, I started to show my art, here on Etsy. It was 2009. I joked about being a brave chicken. Now that I look back at all the art I've been filing away, I realize I have left myself messages. Codes, really. Art helped me unlock the doors and evolve and thrive.

10 years later, I am now ready to share what I have learned about the art of alignment with the profound certainty that it will serve you in some way.

My mission is to BE love, SPARK joy and, Multiply Gratitude to Infinity (and beyond)

Through My Love Blooms project, I intend to co-create a better world for my son and for all our children. I plan to invest 10% of my profits to purchase seeds that will bloom into a forest of flowers our pollinators love and need in order to thrive.
Love, Yanik <3
