Healing, Shifting, Infusing Energy
My artwork is created with the purpose of healing.
I have spent years collecting and curating thousands of found objects, gems, semi-precious stones and crystals that have called to me.
Each time a complete piece is called to creation I spend several days sitting with the raw elements; listening to each curve as it calls forth the elements of the earth that will comprise the finished work.
My guiding influence whenever I begin to create a piece is to listen closely and honor what wants to happen. My job as an artist is to bring a piece to its full fruition - its highest vibrational creativity - so that when it meets its person, it is ready to do the energetic 'job' it wants to.
Pieces emerge over several weeks and months as I continue to receive messages concerning what will make the piece sing with the vibrational energy that will bring joy to the existence of the art object itself, and the owner it seeks.
Observing each object's true nature, and listening closely to its desires is key to my work.
The simple act of observing without judgment or the need to change anything gives what I am experiencing space and allows for transformation.
Sometimes we are offered techniques to change, fix or rid ourselves of the things we do not like in our lives. This brings us to a defensive place creating thoughts such as, "I want to change, fix or rid of a part of myself or a part of life that I do not like". Coming from a defensive position we, in turn, place ourselves in resistance and block true transformative healing and positive change.
My artwork seeks to express the core belief that everything we are given is a gift.
