BURMAK – Renforcer nos liens / Strengthen our bond.
As far back as I can remember, every time I buy something that makes me happier, I also buy one for my partner.
If I buy myself a bike, even without asking, I buy one for my partner and my daughter.
It’s the same when I buy myself a phone, a trip, a watch, a wallet — and so much more.
I must say that, in my youth, I was raised this way.
My parents would buy me a gift and, often, I would see them give one to someone else around us.
Later, I understood that we didn’t always have the means to live this way — but that it was deeply who they were.
In the rare moments when the opposite happened, I would notice the joy others felt for me, the envy it created in some, and that desire to share what I had received growing inside me.
Today, the bond I create by giving something I love to someone else has become just as gratifying as it is fulfilling.
I want to pass this approach on to my daughter, starting by creating BURMAK.
The brand is built from the first letters of my family name: [BUR].
Although my daughter does not officially carry her mother’s last name, my partner’s, it was important to me to be inclusive by adding the first two letters of her family name: [MA].
To complete it all, the letter [K], the first letter of each of our first names, comes to unite everything under the name BURMAK.
BURMAK was born inclusive, with the intention of carrying forward this spirit of sharing.
