BereanField

Effective date: August 22, 2026

This policy describes how the BEREAN FIELD shop operator handles buyer information received through Etsy. Etsy separately controls information under its own privacy policy.

INFORMATION RECEIVED
To fulfill an order or respond to a buyer, the shop may receive information that Etsy supplies or that the buyer provides, such as name, email address, order and download details, messages, and information voluntarily included in a support request. The shop does not require more information than is reasonably necessary for the transaction or support request.

WHY INFORMATION IS USED AND THE LEGAL BASES
Information may be used to provide purchased digital files; answer questions; resolve delivery, printing, payment, dispute, or refund issues; comply with Etsy's Seller Policy and marketplace terms; protect the shop and buyers; improve legitimate shop operations; and meet tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or other legal obligations. Depending on the context, the legal basis is performance of the transaction, compliance with a legal obligation, the shop's legitimate interests where those interests do not override buyer rights, or the buyer's consent. Buyer information will not be used for unsolicited marketing. Marketing will occur only with separate, freely given consent where required.

SHARING
Buyer information is shared only as reasonably necessary: with Etsy to operate the marketplace and comply with Etsy's terms; with service providers used to support the transaction or maintain lawful records, subject to appropriate limits; when required by law, legal process, tax authority, or a good-faith safety or rights-protection need; or as part of a lawful business transfer. The shop does not sell buyer personal information or export Etsy buyer data to an unrelated mailing list.

RETENTION
Transaction and support records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above and applicable legal, tax, accounting, dispute, and security obligations. Unless a longer period is required, the working retention period is up to four years after the transaction or last relevant interaction, after which shop-controlled copies are securely deleted or anonymized where practicable.

INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING
Etsy and necessary service providers may process information in countries different from the buyer's country under their own policies and safeguards. For any shop-controlled international transfer, the shop will use a lawful transfer basis and appropriate safeguards where required.

BUYER RIGHTS
Depending on location, buyers may have rights to access, correct, restrict, object to, receive, or delete shop-controlled personal information, withdraw consent where consent is the basis, and complain to a local data-protection authority. Some requests may be limited by legal, tax, security, or transaction-record obligations. Requests concerning Etsy-controlled data should be directed to Etsy.

CONTACT AND CONTROLLER
For shop-controlled buyer information, the BEREAN FIELD shop operator is the data controller. Contact the shop through Etsy Messages with the subject “Privacy Request.”
