We specialize in jewelry made with coins by year when possible so people can pinpoint a precise time at a specific place in the world, quite often to commemorate a cherished event or moment- "I met my husband in Greece in 1988"- "My grand-dad emigrated from Hungary in 1932", etc...It makes it very personal and meaningful.
Each coin tells a story: amazing flora & fauna, interesting architecture & design, recognizable buildings and landscapes, important events, symbols, beliefs, people who changed the course of history (for better or worse).
A beautiful coin is great to wear & touch so we can remember someone special or where we come from.
In this era where everything is becoming the same and globalized, where money will only be digital in a few decades, a real physical, tangible coin is a wonderful witness of the past, a tiny time capsule.
If you do not feel comfortable wearing a coin directly on your skin, please contact us- we can arrange for the coin to be glued in/on a stainless steel bezel cup (with a stainless steel chain) for an extra fee. The coin can be simply glued on or have a protective, enhancing glass dome on top.
Cataloguing all these pieces is a long project and it will take a while before we are done- and more always seem to arrive and say: "Take us!"
The majority of our collection is not on this site so if you have a special request, please do ask us, we will likely be able to find what you are looking for- we now have coins from more than 189 countries/ex-countries/empires/territories, etc.
If one of our listing does not show the year you are after, ask us- often we do not have time to update our stock in our Etsy shop as quickly as we would like- it takes but a moment to check through our new unsorted arrivals.
We also have stamps from almost everywhere that we can mount as pendants, let us know if you would like more information about these.
A few details:
If you put one of our items in your basket, we will not contact you to offer you a lower price, sorry.
For US buyers, usually we ship twice a week- on Tuesday and Friday- as we need to drive quite a bit to get to our USPS-linked postal service outlet. But the shipping to you is VERY fast.
For Canadian buyers, the best way we found to ship is registered- safe and quite fast (we pay a little extra from our pockets to keep the costs decent).
Locally, known as FULL MOON JEWELRY, we are at 3 Farmers' Markets this summer (2023): Airdrie, Bearspaw and Banff. We also offer lots of semi-precious gemstone jewelry when selling in person.
