Eight important things to know about our shop and our listed items.
#1 - WE DO NOT ACCEPT ORDER CANCELLATIONS. We do our best to ship within 24H of the actual order date and shipping will begin pulling and packing an order straight away. Please do not request an order cancellation after it has been placed, as it is our store policy that we do not accept order cancellations.
#2 - WE ARE CHATTY CATHIES! And, we do it to help our buyers make informed purchase decisions. We take a lot of time to provide detailed product descriptions and high-quality photos. We want our buyers to know exactly what they are purchasing and what they will receive. Accordingly, we ask shoppers to PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND VIEW EACH OF THE PRODUCT PHOTOS PROVIDED to help ensure your order will meet your expectations.
#3 - I SMELL SMOKE! We sell everything from tableware and barware, to books, board games and classic toys. Each of our antique and vintage items has been previously enjoyed by someone, somewhere. As a result, we cannot guarantee they have come only from smoke-free homes. Thinking back to the 50s and 60s for a minute when mom and dad might have had their Saturday morning coffee with their cigarettes at the kitchen table! In earlier times, cigarette smoking was as common as using our cell phone on lunch break is today. As a result, our items MAY HAVE A SMELL OF NICOTINE. Especially this can be true of non-washable items like books, lamp shades and board games. PLEASE CONSIDER THE POSSIBILITY OF A NICOTINE SMELL WHEN MAKING A DECISION TO PURCHASE FROM THE SHOP. While this nicotine smell, if present, will normally dissipate entirely over time with proper airing, we want only happy, satisfied customers! If you are someone who is super sensitive to nicotine smells, vintage and antique items may not always work well for you. Hard goods, like porcelain and bone china, are easily washed and don't typically absorb odors. Paper and fabric items, however, can absorb and retain smells like nicotine and these items cannot be washed before being sent out to you. Please consider this fact when making a purchase from our shop.
# 4 - WE KEEP IT SIMPLE. Each of our listed items INCLUDES SHIPPING within North America. With the shipping included in the displayed prices, our buyers can quickly and easily see the full cost of the items they want to buy. Our FREE! NORTH AMERICAN SHIPPING GUARANTEE ALWAYS INCLUDES TRACKING AND INSURANCE. The only additional charge Canadian buyers will see at check-out with our FREE! SHIPPING option is the applicable provincial sales tax. These taxes are added and paid up-front during check out. US customers pay any state taxes at check out, however Customs Duties MAY be required to be paid and, if so, these will be charged at the time of your delivery or pick up. Orders shipping outside of North America can vary greatly in the shipping cost dependent upon the size and weight of the item(s) and the ship-to location. International orders (those going outside North America) DO NOT HAVE FREE SHIPPING. The cost to ship to your area will be shown on the listing once you enter the shipping location. International shipping prices also include tracking. Any applicable taxes and | or Customs fees are additional. Taxes will be displayed and paid during check out. Any Customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer and may be applicable when your order is delivered. Both North American and international orders can access our Combined Shipping Discount by entering COMBINEDITEMDISCOUNT into the shop's coupon code field at check-out. The Combined Shipping Discount is 20%.
#5 - WE BELIEVE EXPERIENCE COUNTS! and we use professional packing staff to parcel all orders to ensure your items reach you in the same condition as they left our warehouse. Shipping costs are very high - even domestically within Canada - (i.e., ONE coffee mug going from London ON to Toronto ON will cost about $29.90 with packing labor, materials and shipping fees included). And, we do over-pack everything with high-quality materials, using professional packers and shippers to ensure you receive your items in top-notch shape. Please consider that these costs are all included in the displayed prices for our North American customers.
#6 - WE ALL HATE WAITING! Orders normally ship within 24-48H of placement. International orders can be held up in Customs for clearing. Please be aware that the shop cannot speed up Customs clearing times. If you are ordering for a time-sensitive occasion like a birthday or Christmas, please consider choosing one of the Expedited Shipping methods shown at check out (NOTE: additional charges for shipping will apply for expedited dispatch and this cost will be displayed when your ship method is selected). All orders, international and domestic, ship with tracking and the tracking number is sent to your Etsy-registered email address. Always check your tracking for the most current information available on the whereabouts of your order.
#7 - HOW MUCH PACKAGING IS TOO MUCH? We use professional shippers and packers in our warehouse several of whom are ex post office employees. Thus, they pack items super well to try to ensure buyers receive their breakables in unbroken condition. We recommend using a utility knife to remove tape about packing foam and other materials to make items easy to unpackage, without damage, at the buyer's end.

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT? ARE PURCHASES SUBJECT TO SALES TAXES?
Payment methods: We accept payment via most major credit cards, Paypal and Etsy gift certificates.
Taxes on purchases: All purchases through BuyfromGroovy ARE subject to the addition of applicable taxes. Etsy collects all taxes. For orders shipping outside of Canada, Etsy collects tax at the rate set by the individual State or Country. On domestic (Canadian) orders tax is applied to the order on check-out as indicated by the Canadian Government's tax table.
DO YOU OFFER A LAYAWAY OR PAYMENT PLAN FOR ITEMS I WISH TO PURCHASE?
Currently, BuyfromGroovy does NOT offer a layaway plan. However, where an interested Purchaser contacts us to request a HOLD or RESERVE on an item(s), we are most times happy to do so FOR UP TO 48 HOURS. If you require an item or items to be held longer than 48 hours, please message us to request these arrangements. In some cases, we may offer installment invoicing through PayPal, with the item(s) being sent out within five (5) business days FOLLOWING FULL PAYMENT OF ALL PAYPAL INVOICES.

Board games, puzzles, video tapes are sold AS IS. We do our utmost to identify shortcomings or flaws, as they exist. Parts and pieces are inventoried and the status stated IN CAPS at the top of the listing. Games are checked for COMPLETENESS AND COSMETIC APPEARANCE.

EXCELLENT: may show MILD! crazing, a fleabite, MINIMAL! fading, or edge wear. Defects will be stated in listing
VERY GOOD: item has NO! cracks, but may have nicks, MINIMAL crazing and or edge loss (where applicable) or fading. Defects will be stated in the listing.
GOOD! or FAIR: may present with ANY OR ALL OF the above issues. Defects will be stated in the listing. Best for use as an extra piece for your service, or as a decorative display item only.
SMELL OF SMOKE: We CANNOT guarantee the prior owner was a non-smoker. Items MAY HAVE A SMELL OF SMOKE.
WHAT IS THE AVERAGE SHIPPING TIMEFRAME? WHAT IS THE AVERAGE DELIVERY TIMEFRAME?
Most items ship out within three (3) to five (5) BUSINESS days. Where there is a variance to this, such as the order of a large dinner service, or an order requiring a lot of time to package, we will provide an updated shipping time frame, where necessary.
Delivery to the USA is typically 7-10 BUSINESS days FOLLOWING the date of shipment. Canadian delivery is typically 3-5 BUSINESS days FOLLOWING shipment date, with the exception of addresses located in more remote areas of Canada such as Northern BC, the Yukon etc. In these remote areas, delivery times can be in the range of 7-10 BUSINESS days.
INTERNATIONAL orders ship within 3-5 BUSINESS days but delivery can vary from 10 to 30 days depending on destination country and ship method.

All Canada | US shipping charges are INCLUDED in shown prices. A 20% discount is offered on MOST items when purchasing two or more at the same time. We ALWAYS! over-pack items and use high-quality packaging materials. Great time and care is taken with packaging to ensure items are received in the same condition as when they left our warehouse.
International orders do NOT! ship free. If you live outside Canada or the USA the cost to ship your order is displayed when you select your location from the drop-down list of countries.
SIZING AND QUANTITY DETAILS.
All sizes are given in feet and inches, unless otherwise indicated and are approximations.
All items are listed individually and the price shown would be for a quantity of ONE (1), unless otherwise stated (i.e., SET of xx, PAIR of xx). Sometimes, BONUS! items are provided and where a BONUS! item is included, it will be referenced in the listing. Photos may show more than one (1) of the same item if more than one (1) is available. This is done to assist buyers, allowing them to see each of the available items to assess their quality and/or appearance given that they may receive any number of the shown items, depending upon the quantity ordered. We provide as many photos, normally, as space permits.
IS LOCAL PICK-UP AVAILABLE?
ALL purchase transactions are conducted through Etsy check-out, meaning there are NO! COD transactions available. This provides the Purchaser with Etsy Buyer Protection as the sale is conducted through Etsy. As of September, 2021 we no longer offer a local pick-up option. All items are shipped to Customers via Canada Post with tracking and insurance for loss.
