¡Hola mucho gusto!
Mi viaje de macramé comenzó como un pasatiempo hace muchos años cuando vivía en Tenerife, una de las Islas Canarias. Instantáneamente me enamoré de la forma de arte, mi destello creativo se encendió instantáneamente y me inspiré. Encontré la forma de arte terapéutica, calmante, agradable y se sentía natural. Empecé haciendo regalos para familiares y amigos, vendí algunas piezas extra, sin embargo, siempre fue un hobby.

A lo largo de los años, con todo lo que pasó con el mundo y el camino que ha recorrido mi vida, me atraía cada vez más la idea de trabajar por mi cuenta. Como madre soltera, la vida es lo suficientemente desafiante, así que solo podía soñar con poder tener la libertad de pasar tiempo con mis hijos en un horario y un estilo de vida que funcione para nosotros, y al mismo tiempo estar a punto de apoyarnos. He intentado varias empresas comerciales diferentes a lo largo de los años, ninguna se sintió bien. Recientemente, después de redescubrir mi amor por el macramé y también de perder mi trabajo, tuve un gran momento eureka y supe que era una señal de que tal vez esto es lo que se supone que debo hacer y voila Canary Macramé nació.

Tengo muchas ideas de cómo me imagino que será Canary Macramé. Me encanta crear piezas que sean minimalistas y que tengan una estética natural y bohemia. Los cordones que uso están hechos de algodón 100 % reciclado, con tintes no tóxicos, y en cuanto a todos los demás materiales y suministros, trato de obtenerlos localmente, de otras pequeñas empresas, dentro del Reino Unido que comparten puntos de vista y valores similares. Además de asegurarme de que mi producción y embalaje sean lo más ecológicos posible.

Hello, nice to meet you!
My macramé journey started out as a hobby many years ago when I was living in Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands. I instantly fell in love with the artform, my creative flare was instantly ignited and I was inspired. I found the art form therapeutic, calming, enjoyable and it felt natural. I started making gifts for family and friends, I sold a few extra pieces, however, it always remained a hobby.

Over the years, with everything that happened with the world and the path that my life has journeyed, I became increasingly drawn to the idea of working for myself. As a single parent, life is challenging enough so I could only dream of being able to have freedom to spend time with my children on a schedule and lifestyle that works for us, all the while being about to support us. I have tried several different business ventures over the years, none ever felt right. Recently, after rediscovering my love for macramé and also losing my job, I had a very big eureka moment and I knew it was a sign that maybe this is what I am supposed to do and voila Canary Macramé was born.

I have many ideas of how I envision Canary Macramé to be. I love to create pieces that are minimalistic and have a natural, boho aesthetic. The cords I use are made from 100% recycled cotton, using non toxic dyes, and as for all other materials and supplies I try to source locally, from other small businesses, within the UK that share similar views and ethos. As well as ensuring that my production and packaging is as eco-friendly as possible.
