Carrie Anne Hudson is a visual artist from San Diego, California. She describes herself foremost as an illustrator and painter with a passion for pop surrealism and darker genres. Interested in art from an early age, Carrie spent most of her childhood doodling and sketching on anything she could come across.

A natural fascination with all things strange, Carrie draws her inspiration from her dreams, nightmares, relationships, and day-to-day life. Touching on themes of death, isolation, and love, she brings an overwhelming sense of passion and wonder to her pieces.

Carrie’s artwork has been shown in galleries throughout the United States in a variety of group exhibitions, as well as featured in a variety of local magazines throughout southern California. In the summer of 2014, Carrie was accepted into a month-long artist residency in Transylvania, Romania. In 2017, she was nominated for the San Diego Art Prize. And in 2018 she premiered her first solo show "Haunted" at BasileIE Gallery. Through her artwork, Carrie hopes to intrigue, inspire and open the darker doors of the imagination.
