Designer. Mom. Entrepreneur.

Hi! I’m Jenn, a professional graphic designer, business owner and mom to two little girls.
This Etsy shop is my hobby and a fun extension of my design business, Cheeky Canvas, based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Whenever I have a chance, I'm adding new creations to the shop. I love hearing your feedback and suggestions on what types of printables you'd like added to the collection!

Frequently asked questions
Q1: Help! Custom form fields disappear when I upload my file to an online printer.

A: Some online printers like Staples and Vistaprint do not support form fields from uploaded PDF files. Here is a simple workaround that will allow you to “flatten” the file, which will remove the editable form fields, but retain the text from the fields. Please follow the Mac or PC specific instructions below.

Mac

1. Once you’ve filled out all the sections on your invitation click File > Print
2. At the bottom left of the print dialogue box, click on Printer…
3. Another dialogue box will pop up, click Yes
4. At the bottom left of the next screen, you will see a dropdown menu labeled PDF. Select Save as PDF from the dropdown menu.
5. You’ll be prompted to rename the document save it. (It’s important to give your new file a different name from the one you were working in.)
6. Done! You’ve successfully flattened your PDF and will now be able to upload to online printers without issue. Enjoy!

PC

You will need a PDF Print Driver installed on your system for this to work. If you don’t already have one, you can download for free from various sources. I recommend: www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp.
1. After installing, go back into your PDF file and click File > Print.
2. Select the PDF driver from the printer list.
3. You’ll be prompted to rename the document save it. (It’s important to give your new file a different name from the one you were working in.)
4. Done! You’ve successfully flattened your PDF and will now be able to upload to online printers without issue. Enjoy!

Q2: Fonts aren’t showing up properly in my document.

A: If the fonts in your downloaded files are not showing up correctly, it’s likely you do not have the font installed on your system. Fear not! All fonts used are free to download and are licensed for personal and commercial use. You’ll find a download link for the correct font(s) in the description of the listing you purchased from Cheeky Canvas Designs.

Q3: I can’t save my PDF once I’ve filled out the form.

A: Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader by visiting https://get.adobe.com/reader. Still, technology doesn’t always cooperate with us – if you are working in the latest version of Reader and still aren’t able to save your document, there is quick workaround that will allow you to save a “flattened” version of the file. Flattening will remove the editable fields, but retain the text from the fields. Please refer to the Mac or PC specific instructions from Q1.

Custom and personalised orders

Cheeky Canvas Designs is happy to design custom files. Pricing will vary based on the scope of the project. Please contact me for further details.

Are the colours on screen exactly the same as in the prints?

Due to the nature of digital (RGB) versus print (CMYK), slight colour variation may occur based on the calibration of your monitor. I recommend to do test prints before printing in bulk.
