About ChronicallyVintage
Vintage fashions, jewelry, and more to inspire and delight!
Chronically Vintage celebrates and encourages the living of a life that is enhanced by connecting with the past in whatever way(s) brings you joy.
Vintage has been an immense passion of mine since I was a young child, so it only seemed natural for me to open up an online shop that sells the of kinds of old school wearable + collectible items that make my heart - and I truly hope yours as well - skip a beat instantly.
I fully understand that vintage is not a "one size fits" scenario however and strive to include a diverse range of expertly curated Victorian, Edwardian, 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, and later twentieth century pieces here, so as to have at least one "something" for every one of my awesome customers.
Questions, comments, just want to chat about vintage? Drop me an Etsy message anytime.

Accepted payment methods
Returns and exchanges
I ask that you please use a shipping method that includes a tracking number and a signature confirmation when mailing back your order. If the value of the item(s) exceeds $100, I strongly advice you to purchase insurance on the package, as Chronically Vintage is in no way liable or responsible for orders that are mailed back to us.
Please do not wash, sew, repair or otherwise alter any item that you wish to return. Doing so will result in an automatic default of any likelihood of a refund being issued.
If a refund applies, you will be promptly issued a refund for the full amount of your purchase price, minus shipping costs, once I have received the item back and so long as it is in the same condition it was is when it left my hands originally.
Payment
COMBINED SHIPPING: Chronically Vintage is delighted to always automatically offer our customers a low combined shipping rate. The combined total will appear in your cart as items are added to it.
I only charge true shipping costs and refund all shipping overages greater than $1.00 USD, if one does occur, via whichever method you used to pay for your transaction, as soon as your order has been posted out to you.
RESERVATIONS: I am happy to reserve any listing (or multiple listings) upon request for you for up to two weeks (fourteen consecutive) days, so long as you genuinely intend to purchase the item(s) that you've asked to have a reservation placed on.
I do not require, and will never ask you for, a deposit or layaway payment for reserves.
COUPON CODES/STORE CREDITS/ETSY GIFT CERTIFICATES: If you are using any of these methods as part of your Chronically Vintage purchase transaction, you must enter it, or them, at the time of checkout. Discounts, store credits, and gift certificates cannot be applied to transactions once checkout as has been completed, nor will I refund you the difference if you did not apply your code, credit or certificate to your order at the time of purchase.
PLEASE NOTE: As registered Canadian company located in British Columbia, I am required by law to charge PST and GST (tax) to our fellow British Columbians and PST (alone) to all other Canadians on their orders at the time of checkout. PST in BC is 7% and GST for all Canadians is 5%. Customers from all countries other than Canada will not, of course, be charged tax on their orders.

Delivery
All orders are shipped from Penticton, British Columbia Canada via Canada Post. In most instances, I charge you for, and thus use, the most economical form of shipping available to save you money (such as Small Packet International Air Mail).
If you would like a speedier, and much more costly, method of shipping (such as Xpresspost), please contact me to get a rate quote for such prior to making your purchase.
Though there are many factors that can affect the delivery speed of a parcel once it out of my hands (including the customs process in your own country), please use the following as a general guideline for how long it may take your order to reach you:
Within Canada: 3 - 14 calendar days
To the United States: 5 to 16 business days
To the UK: 5 to 18 business days (*Please note* From early 2016 onward, for reasons unknown, it is taking some packages longer than this to reach the UK and I'm now suggesting that customers in the United Kingdom please give their orders up to 25 business days to arrive. Thank you!).
To most other locations in Europe: 6 to 25 business days
To Russia: Varies greatly, but typically 10 to 35+ business days
To Australia: 6 to 25 business days
To the rest of the world: Varies - approx. 7 to 35+ business days to most locations.
Please contact me prior to placing your order, if you have any questions about potential delivery times from Canada Post to your country.,
PACKAGING: I package all of my orders with genuine TLC and new materials (e.g., tissue paper, bubble wrap, paper jewelry boxes, mailing envelopes, etc), with exceptions made in some cases for the outer shipping (parcel) box that your order is sent in. If you would prefer that your package was sent using a larger percentage of recycled materials, I can certainly accommodate that. Just send a message our my before, or immediately after, paying for your order indicating that you would prefer as much.
IMPORT, CUSTOMS & SIMILAR CHARGES: Please be aware that you, the customer, are responsible for any and all import fees, duties, customs fees, brokerage fees, VAT, taxes and other related charges that your respective country and/or postal delivery service may impose.
Under no circumstances will Chronically Vintage mark a package as having a lower value than the actual worth of the item(s) included therein on the customs forms, nor as your order being a gift or any kind of factually inaccurate term, as doing so is against the law in Canada and highly likely in your own country as well.
Additional policies and FAQs
That said, it is possible that a very small flaw, stain, hole or other minor defect, or slight measurement error may have escaped my close inspection. Remember that vintage garments have generally seen previous use and wear and are susceptible to damage due to their age and sometimes delicate nature, and that you should always keep as much in mind when purchasing vintage clothing and accessories.
VINTAGE SIZING: Please note that while all listings will include measurements for a garment in both inches and centimeters/millimeters, only some items (especially those from the 1940s onward) will have a size tag in them. The number on this tag will be included in the listing, however it's very important to keep in mind that clothing sizes have changed over the years and that a size 16 in the 1940s or 50s was akin to a size 6/8 today (with an average waist size of 27-28 inches/69-71cm). For a detailed explanation of vintage vs modern clothing sizes, please see this blog post: http://www.chronicallyvintage.com/2013/01/vintage-clothing-sizing-101.html
Please ensure that you know and have recently measured your body's measurements (such as neck, bust, waist, and hips) before purchasing vintage clothing or accessories. Here is a helpful post about measuring your own body: http://www.chronicallyvintage.com/2011/12/list-of-clothing-measurements-i-never.html
FEEDBACK: If you have any questions or concerns about your order that you would like addressed before leaving Etsy feedback, please message me before you do so. It is of the utmost importance to me that you are as happy as possible with your order and I will always try to work with you to make sure that you have a 5 star experience when shopping with Chronically Vintage.
QUESTIONS: Here at Chronically Vintage, questions are not only welcome, they're highly encouraged! I want you to be 100% happy with your purchase every step of the way, so if you have any questions, concerns or thoughts pertaining to your purchase, or potential purchase (or would like to see additional photos for a particular listing), please feel free to message me 24/7.
OTHER: All items come from a smoke free home. We have one adorable short haired cat and one equally adorable short haired dog. Neither is permitted on the floor where the items sold in Chronically Vintage are stored, however it is possible for small amounts of pet fur to transfer to the items we list in our shop by virtue of the fact that it (pet hair) is in general environment of our home.
PLEASE NOTE: Any props, such as, but not limited to, canning jars, vases, scrapbook paper, lace, wood, and fabric used to help display items in my listings ARE NOT included with the item or items they're pictured with. You will only receive the item or items described as being for sale in each listing.
