Thought you all would like to meet Barnaby. He is a stray cat that wandered into our studio some time ago. He liked us and our couch so much, he decided to stay. He is giant and loveable. We adore our big buddy!

Frequently asked questions

Why should I choose handmade?

The majority of titanium ring companies do one of two things:

Buy mass-produced rings overseas and re-sell them.

Stick a chunk of metal into a computerized machine, press a button, and call it a day.

These machines, very expensive and extremely soulless, drill and carve while the human operator... takes a nap? Eats lunch? Watches syndicated reruns of CSI? Entertaining, sure, but not exactly what you want to be paying for.

Choosing handmade means the person making your ring actually had to learn how to make your ring. With their own hands. With manual tools. That takes time, practice, and a bit of stubbornness. Every edge, curve, and polish is shaped with care and intention. If you buy a ring from us, you can be sure it was made by us.

Why do I see such wildly different prices for titanium rings?

When shopping for a titanium ring, you’ll see prices ranging from $5 to $10,000. The price is usually a good indicator of how the ring was made and what materials were used.

Here are the main methods:

1. Buy cheap, mass-produced rings and re-sell them at a massive markup.

2. Design rings digitally and use machines to carve and finish them.

3. Use automated machines to carve the ring, then finish it by hand.

4. Carve and finish each ring entirely by hand using manual machines, from scratch. ← (That’s what we do.)

Each step away from full automation brings more time, effort, and skill into the equation, which tends to raise the price, but also the quality and uniqueness.

Titanium is scratch-resistant, right?

Well... no.

Titanium is strong. Like, “survives being run over by a 4x4 truck carrying an elephant” strong. (Probably. Please don’t try this at home. Elephants are sensitive creatures.)

But strength doesn’t mean it won’t scratch. Titanium is incredibly durable, it won't bend, warp, gouge, or wear thin like gold, silver, or even platinum but it will scratch from regular use. Over time, your ring will pick up a soft, natural patina of light surface scratches, giving it a lived-in, well-loved look.

A note on inlays: Precious metals like gold and silver are much softer than titanium. They’re still durable, but they may need a gentler touch. So maybe take your ring off before using the wood chipper or assembling that new swing set.

Are your rings comfort fit?

Yes, sort of.

We carve the inside of our rings with a unique shape we call “contour fit.” Think of it as a hybrid between standard and comfort fit. The inside edges are smoothly rounded like a traditional comfort fit, but the center of the interior is left flat.

Why? This keeps the ring from rolling around on your finger and helps it sit lower. It’s comfortable and practical. Not just for your ring finger, but for the ones next to it too.

Can I make a custom order?

We sure hope so! Custom orders are one of our favorite things.

Any ring in our shop can be customized in a variety of ways—different colors, inlays (silver, gold, or platinum), widths, finishes, and more. Want to combine elements from a few different designs? Change the layout? Go for it. We’ll do everything we can to make it happen.

Heads-up: Custom designs are non-returnable. So let’s make sure we get it just right before we start.

Can you set a stone in my ring?

Yes! We can flush-set small, round hard stones like diamonds or sapphires (up to 3mm in diameter). If you'd like to add a stone, just send us a message and we’ll give you a quote.

Unfortunately, we aren’t able to use customer-supplied stones. (Too risky!)

Custom and personalized orders

Absolutely! We offer free engraving, up to 40 characters, inside the ring only.

Sorry, we don’t offer exterior engraving at this time. But the inside’s where all the secrets go anyway.
