I've been drawing for as long as I care to remember; even as a child I use to make small comic books for my friends and family. It was also during this time that my father introduced me to motorsports; my first trip on my 7th birthday to the Trans-AM races at Mosport. Fair to say that I've been hooked ever since, and would watch racing on TV rather than morning cartoons on the weekends.

When I got through high school and university I took a more determined interest in my artwork, and began making pieces I wanted to be photo-realistic; something which would catch your eye and make you think twice before you realized what you were looking at. Some pieces I put together I would submit to my campus newspaper and have published; at the same time I would take many of these pieces to the racetrack to have signed by the drivers.

This is where the story takes a turn; I had made a piece for the Corvette Racing team and was able to get the entire team to sign it. Head Crew Chief Dan Binks took me aside and asked me to make a custom piece for him, and it was out of this moment that 'Clipping That Apex' was born. I began to make custom pieces, created a website and had business cards all drafted up...but I wanted more! Luckily I stumbled upon etsy which would allow customers to purchase my work online. From that point I began making pieces just for the hell of it and selling the reprints, still getting pieces signed for my own collection as I'd always done. Once that took off, I was able to expand with my vendors to help ship my pieces globally!

Art for me has always been a great escape, a way to focus and let the world fall to the wayside while I craft another piece. I enjoy working on them as much as you enjoy looking at them. I hope to continue this push globally, and with much determination become a household name in the motorsports community. I look forward to that future and will continue to attempt to thrill and excite all motorsports fans.
