Madly Reimaging the Future through the Past
Anche se sono con Etsy dal 2008, mi sono preso una pausa dall'arte e dagli sforzi creativi per oltre un anno per prendermi cura di mio padre. Purtroppo, è morto nel febbraio 2016. La sua guida, il suo sostegno e il suo talento continuano a ispirarmi. Una parte delle mie vendite sarà donata ogni anno al St. Joseph's Hospital di Toronto e alla Cancer Research. L'anno scorso, mentre lo accompagnavo da vari medici e alla chemio, ho raccolto dell'argilla per "tenere le mani occupate". Quest'anno porterò lentamente online la nuova scultura.
Essere un Jack-of-many-Trades significa che sto costantemente re-immaginando la mia arte. Ho sempre avuto un fascino per la storia naturale e gran parte delle mie sculture attuali sono interpretazioni di insetti, uccelli e animali. Combinalo con l'amore di un geek per i robot - e penso che capirai la fonte della mia ispirazione.
Questi insetti scultorei faranno una bella aggiunta a qualsiasi Armadio Curio, oppure possono vegliare su di te mentre lavori. Anche se giocattolo in apparenza queste sono piccole creazioni delicate che dovrebbero essere maneggiate con cura.

Although I have been with Etsy since 2008, I have taken a hiatus from art and creative endeavours for over a year to take care of my father. Sadly, he passed away in February 2016. His guidance, support and talent continue to inspire me. A portion of my sales will be donated every year to St. Joseph's Hospital in Toronto and to Cancer Research. Last year, while escorting him to various doctors and to chemo, I picked up some clay to "keep my hands busy". This year I will be slowly bringing the new sculpture online.
Being a Jack-of-many-Trades means that I am constantly re-imaging my art. I've always had a fascination with natural history and much of my current sculptures are interpretations of insects, birds and animals. Combine that with a geek's love of robots - and I think you will understand the source of my inspiration.
These sculptural insects will make a fine addition to any Curio Cabinet, or they can watch over you as you work. Although toy-like in appearance these are delicate little creations that should be handled with care.
