Gentle Words for the Road You’re Walking
Come Sit a Spell grew from a life I never expected to be living.
After the sudden death of my oldest son, I learned that grief reaches into far more places than most of us are prepared for. It changes relationships, routines, identity, faith, our bodies, and sometimes the entire way we see the future.
Over the years, writing became one of the ways I learned to put words around those experiences. Not to fix grief. Not to offer easy answers. But to say the things I desperately needed someone to say to me: This is hard. What you’re feeling isn’t wrong. And you are not alone.
Come Sit a Spell is where I share those words now.
Here you’ll find gentle reflections and resources created from lived experience for people walking through grief and other hard seasons. Some will give you space to write. Some will simply give you something to hold onto for the day.
My Christian faith is part of my story and naturally finds its way into some of my writing, but there is always room at the table for someone who is questioning, struggling, angry, or simply trying to make it through today.
I’m Julie Wolf—a wife, mom, writer, and fellow traveler through grief.
