Comencé mi tienda una vez que me di cuenta de que estaba haciendo completamente todos los productos que usaba en mí mismo. Fue una ephiphanía darse cuenta de lo simple que podría ser equilibrar la salud y la belleza en ingredientes tan simples y completos. El uso de aceites esenciales de grado medicinal cuidó la mayoría de las propiedades antibacterianas, antivirales, antisépticas y antifúngicas que los productos comerciales tienden a combatir con productos químicos y el procesamiento excesivo de material vegetal. La belleza es algo que hemos moldeado y formado a medida que las culturas suben y bajan. Es relativo, visto solo cuando elegimos verlo, y ahora alimenta una industria que deconstruye la Tierra para obtenerlo. La Tierra, la única cosa en la que más coincidimos como una inspiración constante para la belleza y lo que toma lo bruto mientras tratamos de recrearlo.
Entonces, en medio de la creación de una línea de belleza para las almas deliciosas que encuentro, estoy constantemente zumbando por las señales de tráfico que me recuerdan que ahora estoy creando, usando, reciclando y abusando activamente de una filosofía de belleza con la que no me siento cómodo.
Hago todo lo posible para usar materiales que lleguen y sobrevivan armoniosamente con la tierra. Todo el tiempo, constantemente cuestionándome a mí mismo en la producción de una línea de belleza caníbal de este tipo. Encuentro que la belleza debe ser redefinida y practicada todos los días para romper el síndrome de perfeccionismo de las redes sociales. Cliché como es, el alcance de la belleza fuera de nosotros mismos parece implacable y derrochador. Venda el palo feo por momentos puros, luego parece resaltar la espina áspera que no queríamos mirar en primer lugar.

No fue hasta el día en que acepté lo que adoraba de mí misma, que comencé a entender que tenía belleza que destacar. Naturalmente, se formó un ritual para practicar lo que mantendría esta luz brillante.
Desplegar mi belleza es un viaje largo y constante a través del movimiento, el baile, el clown, la creación de caras divertidas, la libertad para transformarse y la libertad de conectarse con los demás. Cuidar amorosamente de los complejos, freaky, inteligentes, creativos que somos, es una de las cosas más bellas que puedo imaginar.

I began my shop once I realized I was completely making all the products that I used on myself. It was such an ephiphany to realize how simple it could be to balance health and beauty in such simple and whole ingredients. The use of essential oils of a medicinal grade took care of most of the anti-bacterial, anti-viral, antiseptic, antifungal properties that commercial products tend to combat with chemicals and over processing of plant material. Once I new the clean part of hygiene was taken care of, I could concentrate on what makes taking care of our beauty such an important and fun ritual for us all. Realizing that we have to fit this ritual into our dailing lives that are busy, hectic, and constantly moving, I created products that could do more than one thing, and pair down on waste created from our beauty regimes.
I create each piece that is sold in this store from hand. From mixing of all ingredients, hand designing all bottles and packaging, and burning the fires that create resin filled ash in which to make eyeliner.
Here is my philosophy on beauty and the heart of all my products:
Beauty is something we've molded and formed as cultures rise and fall. It is relative, seen only when we choose to see it, and now fueling an industry that deconstructs the Earth in order to obtain it. Earth, the one thing most agreed upon as a constant inspiration for beauty and the thing that takes the brute while we try to recreate it.
So in the midst of creating a beauty line for the delicious souls that I encounter, I'm constantly whizzing by road signs reminding me that I'm now actively creating, using, recycling, and abusing a philosphy of beauty I'm not comfortable with.
I try my best to use materials that arrive and survive harmoniously with the earth. All the while, constantly questioning myself in producing such a CANNIBAL Beauty Line. I find that beauty must be redefined and practiced everyday in order to break the social media's perfectionism syndrome. Cliche as it is, the reach for beauty outside of ourselves seems relentless and wasteful. It bandages the ugly stick for sheer moments, then seems to highlight the scratchy thorn we didn't want to look at in the first place.
Who the ninnybots taught us we had to possess in ourselves a scratchy thorn of beauty??
It wasn't until the day I accepted what I adored about myself, that I began to understand that I had beauty to highlight. Naturally a ritual formed in order to practice what would keep this light glowing.
Unfurling my beauty is a long and constant journey through movement, dancing, clowning, funny face making, freedom to morph, and the freedom to connect with others. The electricity of health that allowed me to accomplish all of this movement, finally brought me to a place where I wanted to accent what I felt inside. Health being the fresnel that rooted this light, I'm delighted and empowered to avenue my beauty through ancient medicinal practices, where most of our beauty care really stems from.
As many of you know I'm an avid medicinal essential oil user, and this is always the heart of my products. Essential oils are one of the oldest forms of medicine known to humans. Taking loving care of the complex, freaky, intelligent, creatives we are, is one of the most beautiful things I can imagine.
Fatty oils mixed with essential oils were slathered across the body of men and women to prevent any and all disease and ailments. The eyes were encircled with dark mixes of minerals and essential oils to protect the eyes from disease, sun, and spirits. Hair and skin were lathered in scents and oils to create a protective barrier between our sensitive bacterial systems and the environments we were creating into civilizations.
As I use the oils and products from doTERRA and CANNIBAL Beauty, I'm in constant practice of sustaining and preserving my vitality on this planet.
