The mat arrived safely with some tracking information along the way. The mat was thoughtfully wrapped and the wrapping even had stickers on it, much to the child’s delight! Material quality is really good and definitely can be long lasting with care. I love that it can be folded and tucked away or brought along on trips easily. Having his name embroided made the mat extra special and cherished. So much love to Marlene for this handmade playmat! Blessed new year ahead :)

Cozy Pocket Designs Creation
In 1994, when my son was born, I received a commercially made play mat with pockets for keeping toys in. It quickly became one of my favourite baby gifts because we travelled a lot and often stayed with family. There were toys stored in the pockets ready to play with wherever we went. It was colorful and held his attention. If I needed a quilt to cover him with when he nodded off then it was perfect for that too. When my niece had her first baby several years ago, I searched in vain to find one to give her as a gift. So, being a sewer and a quilter, I decided to design and make one myself.
The pockets are what make my creations unique. Who doesn't love pockets? With so many fun children's fabrics available I couldn't stop at making just one play mat and so at the encouragement of family and friends, Cozy Pocket Designs was started from my home near Ottawa, Canada.
I love fabrics and I'm always trying to come up with new ideas as I find new fabrics. I love working with cotton and most of my products use 100% cotton. I think everyone, especially children, love to have something that is uniquely theirs and so I offer the option to have the child's name embroidered on my creations. I love the opportunity to work with my buyers to design items that are customised to them and will be loved for years.

The shipping amounts listed are estimates through Canada Post. Upgrades are available as requested.
I will happily ship direct to a giftee, as well as include a personal note as requested, just leave me the information in the notes to seller at checkout!
SHIPPING TIMES:
All items are shipped via Regular Parcel Post and can take from 2 - 9 business days to arrive for shipments in Canada or the United States. Shipping to other countries will take longer so please contact me if you would like an estimate on shipping times.
If you would like more information on shipping costs or would like to upgrade the shipping methods please contact me.
Please remember that shipping around any holiday can be very unpredictable and I do my best to let you know if I think it will arrive in time and will recommend Priority Upgrades to ensure faster delivery times as necessary.
I do ship internationally, but please note that buyers are responsible for all duties and custom charges that may be incurred.

Frequently asked questions
Can the play mats be made in different sizes?
Yes! All my play mats are made when an order is placed so if you would like a different size then please contact me and I will work with you to make the size you require.
Do the play mats have to be made with pockets?
No. I can make them without the pockets...just ask!
Can the play mats be made to fit on or attach to a table?
Yes, I have made several for this purpose. I can make them any size and I can add Velcro so that they can be attached to a table. Just contact me to discuss.
Can connectable play mats be sewn together insead of attaching velcro to hold them together?
Yes, I can sew 2 or several of the connectable play mats together to make one large one. Please contact me for details and pricing.
Gift wrapping and packaging
All my orders are shipped wrapped in tissue and a blue ribbon. If you would like addition gift wrapping or a gift note added please contact me.
Are care instructions included?
I include a note with every order describing care instructions and for the play mats, fold up description.
Can the pockets of the play mats be made of fabric other than chevron?
Yes, please contact me to discuss what fabric you would like the pockets made of.
Can the play mat pockets be made different sizes?
In most cases yes, please contact me to discuss what you would like.
Can the personalization be changed?
Yes. Please contact me to discuss what you would like. If it's only a few extra letters or another name there will probably be no extra charge.
