This is a lovely, rare, beautiful color! I love the way it is wrapped. As time progresses, it is becoming less and less common to find sea glass pieces this size; I am honored to have this one!
East Coast of Canada is my Home <3
Welcome to East Coast Sea Gems. My name is Salisha & this is my story.
I was born and raised in Saint John, New Brunswick, spent many summers roaming the natural beauty of our coastal regions, finding many sea treasures along the way. I've always felt most at peace around water.
In 2014, I started on a healing journey, which took me to new places and new beaches along the East Coast of North America. The beauty I discovered was incredible. Amazing sunrises, sunsets, scent of the ocean air, the feel of the different beaches under my feet started to reignite the feeling I had when I was younger, of wonder and yearning for more. While searching for that perfect piece of sea glass, stone, or shell, I found myself wanting to create something out of these discarded ocean treasures.
In 2016, I started attending a couple of local craft fairs with my creations and it has grown from there into a passion I have been able to share with my family, friends and customers alike. My mom & best friends are huge supporters of my creations and this journey. From helping out with show and display set ups, making & packaging products with me, teaming up in collaborations, I know I would not be where I am today without their love, support and push to keep going.
Points of Interest for my Products......
*ALL Sea Glass & Sea Shells in my listings is UNALTERED from how is was found on the beach. Unaltered means it is NOT drilled, etched or shaped by hand in anyway I wash each piece in dish soap, vinegar and baking soda, scrubbing lightly with a nail brush and set on a dry rack. Any shapes, markings or etchings are all naturally occurring by years of tumbling through the currents & waves of the Bay of Fundy, Northumberland Strait or the Bay of Chaleur. Altering Sea Glass and Sea Shells can change the integrity or strength of the piece, causing hidden hairline fractures.
**I DO NOT use CULTERED or Man made looking "Sea" Glass. This means I do not make my glass or purchase it at a craft store. Every piece of my sea glass is ethically sources along local beaches, has taken years/decades/centuries for the ocean to create each unique piece, no two pieces will be the same and colours available will vary depending on what is found by hours of beach combing year round.
*** My sea glass is found on New Brunswick, Canada Beaches by myself, family and friends, (a limited number of pieces have been found in other East Coast Provinces and will be noted in the listings)
****Sea Shells with holes....theses holes are made by ocean creatures to retrieve the meat of the Mollusk living inside.
