Fabric Art ... now in Print!
Award-winning, Canadian Fabric Artist, Kate Bridger, has been working with fabric and freestyle embroidery for over 25 years creating exquisite landscapes, abstracts, house portraits and domestic vignettes ... each piece can take up to 60+ hours to complete: time spent sketching, cutting out minute pieces of fabric, placing them, stitching them and refining. So, once a piece is finished and sold, that's the end of it ... until now! With this amazing new technology that allows prints on canvas to look almost as good as the originals, Kate decided to reproduce some of her favourite pieces for others to enjoy.
Kate has published a book, featuring over 80 images depicting life in the Kootenays, 'The Fabric Of Nelson'.
