Hallo! Ich bin Carrie, die Künstlerin und Ingenieurin hinter Flow Line Maps.
Ich genieße es, von Landkarten inspirierte Kunstwerke für Menschen zu schaffen, die die Natur und die Wege lieben, die es uns ermöglichen, sie zu erkunden.
Meine Entwürfe basieren typischerweise auf Geodaten eines realen Ortes oder einem generativen Algorithmus, um eine imaginäre Welt zum Leben zu erwecken.
Diese digitalen Kompositionen entstehen vor allem durch einen Stiftplotter, einen von mir entwickelten Roboter, der digitale Entwürfe in analoge Form umsetzt. Jeder Plot ist ein Experiment zur Kontrolle des Tintenflusses auf Papier und verbindet die Präzision von Code und mechanischen Werkzeugen mit der organischen Textur und den Unvollkommenheiten traditioneller Medien.
Ich biete außerdem verschiedene hochwertige Drucke beliebter Wanderwege und Resorts an und erstelle viele individuelle Karten.
Jedes Kunstwerk zelebriert die Landschaft und die Abenteuer, die uns mit der Natur verbinden. Ich spende alle Gewinne an Organisationen zur Unterstützung von Wanderwegen (Protect Our Winters und lokale Mountainbike-Streckenverbände).

Hi! I’m Carrie, the artist and engineer behind Flow Line Maps.
I enjoy creating map-inspired artwork for people who love the outdoors and the trails that let us explore them.
My designs typically start with geospatial data of a real place or a generative algorithm to bring an imagined world to life.
These digital compositions primarily come to life through a pen plotter, a robot I built to translate digital designs into analog form. Each plot is an experiment in controlling the flow of ink onto paper, merging the precision of code and mechanical tools with the organic texture and imperfections of traditional media.
I also offer several high-quality prints of popular trail networks and resorts, and make many custom maps.
Every artwork celebrates the terrain and adventure that connect us to the outdoors. I donate all profits to supporting trails (Protect Our Winters and local mountain bike trail organizations)
