About

Two artistic minds create one piece of jewellery

Simon Rompre settled on Salt Spring Island in 1990 where he started his own jewellery making workshop and since then has been selling his creations across Canada. Mostly self-taught he draws much inspiration from many diverse areas such as Art Nouveau masters, modern art, traditional cultures, dance and music, as well as the natural surroundings he calls home.
Stephanie Artz has been making jewellery with Simon Rompre since 2002. For years before that she has been creating bone and wood carvings. Some of them have been used in silver and gold necklaces, many in combination with facetted gem stones.

Most of the jewellery pieces are created by both artisans together, often showing a distinct west coast influence. Their work shows a true collaboration of preciseness, creativity and great artistic workmanship and quality.

Stephanie Artz and Simon Rompre make unique, handcrafted jewellery in silver, gold, mokume gane, copper and brass, using lost-wax casting, hand-fabrication, fusion method and other techniques, incorporating natural gemstones into many of their designs.

Fluctuating Precious Metal Prices:
Based on the price of gold at time of order the listing price of solid gold jewellery may be modestly adjusted after you have placed your order to account for the metal price we receive from our supplier. We buy metals in their most pure form to be able to get the best price.

Ring sizing:
The safest and easiest way is to go to your local jeweller and get your finger measured, however keep in mind that fingers expand with the heat. If it is a hot day you probably want it rather snug than loose, of course if you live in a hot climate than you will want something that fits accordingly. The same goes for cold weather, on such days having a ring a little on the looser side is probably better. Also the wider the band, the more room it needs because wider rings fit more snug.
