Garden Pups started with two puppies and a sunflower seed.
I created Ruby and Sunny — a fox-red Labrador who loves to dig and a yellow Labrador who waters everything with love — for a kids' animated series about gardening, growing, and getting a little dirty along the way. The first episode, "Dig Dig Dig!", follows the pups as they plant a single seed and watch it grow into a giant, glowing sunflower in their mountain garden.
This shop grew naturally out of that world. After the video launched, I wanted a way for kids to keep playing in Ruby and Sunny's garden even after the screen turned off — coloring pages to bring the scenes to life by hand, and simple learning activities (counting, tracing, life cycles) that turn the story into something a little one can sit down with at the kitchen table.
Every design here starts the same way: a scene from the show, redrawn as something a child can color, trace, or solve. My hope is that these pages become part of story time, homeschool mornings, or a quiet rainy-day activity — a small, hands-on extension of Ruby and Sunny's adventures.
More episodes (and more printables) are on the way. Thanks for stopping by the garden. 🌻🐾
