Announcement   Welcome to InlakeshArte!

Our aim is to offer beautiful folk art of Chiapas, from the hands of Indigenous Mayan women. Every piece takes great time (minimum 3 months), because every item is purely handmade with different art forms, mostly handwoven cotton and embroidered patterns.

The state of Chiapas has more than 10 different indigenous communities, their art is their representation and they are very happy and excited about sharing their art overseas. We are here to connect our worlds, and reach you the colourful and quality handicraft of Chiapas.

Please Note!
Our products are shipped from San Cristobal de Las Casas, Mexico.
International shipping through Mexican Postal Service.

The reason to choose local service is mainly the price and confidence. It is much more convenient because otherwise we only have options like DHL, Fedex, UPS that ask mostly higher prices than the products.

Delivery Time with Mexican Postal Service

USA and CANADA: 15-20 working days.
EUROPE: 20-30 working days.
ASIA and OCEANIA: 20-30 working days.

**If you prefer a faster delivery, please contact with us.

I live in the Upper Midwest right on the shore of Lake Michigan. Right now we're right in the middle of winter time and usually my upper body is freezing even when wearing two coats! Now i just wear this wool jacket under my winter coat and I can honestly say that there are times where i start to get a uncomfortably warm. Good quality and I love it.

About

Our Art is Your Art, Love from Chiapas

Inlakesh (In Lak'ech Ala K'in) means; ‘I am you and you are me’ in Mayan language. Traditionally it is used to greet each other, to remind everyday the most important reality of our universe that we are all connected. We believe the power of this word as we believe its meaning from our heart. The more of us give chance to peace, love, harmony and unity, the closer we are to achieve wholeness.

In Chiapas, Indigenous Mayan women make an amazing art, very colorful, geometric, or covering the beauty of nature with animals and flowers. Every piece takes great time, since everything is all handmade with different art forms, mostly handwoven and embroidered.

The state of Chiapas has more than 10 different indigenous communities, their art is their representation and they are very happy and excited about sharing their art overseas. We are here to connect our worlds, and reach you the colourful and quality handicraft of Chiapas.
