My mixed media paintings and charcoal drawings hold a single feeling still long enough to be seen. I am not recording a moment so much as distilling its essence: the quiet weight of an emotion, often drawn from women's lived experience.
I build each work in layers of color, pattern, and collage. That density is deliberate. Emotion is rarely simple, and the layers carry its intensity. Tenderness sits beside grief; calm is laid over unrest.
What I hope for is a pause: a moment of stillness in which you recognize something of your own, and stay with it a little longer.
