"I still have my bag that was my favorite t-shirt and I've been using it for years; I love my bag and it washes up really well."
- Isis Nesbitt of Seed of Life Catering

"We love our t-shirt bags, have been using them for years. Great for groceries or towels( to go on the boat ) or anything else you can think of putting in them. Easily washable."
- Aura Rivette, happy long time t-shirt bag owner

"I love my t-shirt bag mostly because it is one of a kind art....made by a real artist.....I can even feel the love and kindness that exudes from every curve and stitch.....brilliant!!"
- Adam Huber, author of "Red Toe, Red Door"

"Love our t-shirt bags, especially the one in bright red with Bart Simpson! They're not only fun, but they're very durable, washable and I can carry a lot of items without feeling the material biting into my shoulder, wrist or hand (very important for us slimmer folks). Thank you, Jaime, for these marvellously creative, practical t-shirt bags!"
- Barbara Levy

"I'm amazed that a t-shirt can be transformed into something so beautiful and useful!"
- James Douglas

"I love our unique and one-of-a-kind t-shirt bag, made with love from an otherwise unloved up cycled t-shirt. It's cute, durable, practical, and environmentally friendly."
- Aura Ruddell of Aura Ruddell's Music

"Mine lives in my vehicle - an excellent catch-all. Made from an old favorite of mine, and always a reminder of what a wonderful person my friend Jaime is!"
- Ron Cooke

"I love my Spiderman bag, it is lined on the inside and reversible!"
- Ramana, author of The 7 Steps

"What can I say about the t-shirt bag? AWESOME!! Very well made and SO great to look at! I use it every day🐄 So nice to see "unwanted" t-shirts upcycled in such a creative way"
- Cynthia Lee

"I love my t-shirt Bag! I am new to the club, but it is now my go to bag. Strong, soft and real."
- Anna Gustafson, Artist

"Jaime's passion for upcycling shows in these amazing bags! I use mine for grocries and with the bit of stretch from the cotton shirts, cans and boxes of all shapes can easily fit. And they can go in the washing maching unlike other bags. It was hard to choose from all the unique shirts she has collected, so I got 2!"
- Sara Jolene, Artist

"Giving new life to these old T's, Jaime is not only saving them from the landfill but also making an amazing alternative to plastic bags! A great all-around bag for all the bits and pieces you collect throughout the day! So happy with mine! Thank you for making them!!"
- Kathryn Ruby Scaia, Bohemia Consignment

"Like most people these days, I have a seemingly endless collection of re-usable shopping bags gathered from various sources from grocery stores to bakeries to left-behinds.

Jaime's t-shirt bags are by far the most durable, well-made, FUN bags of the lot. Comfortable for carrying heavy loads, soft and strong.

It's a toss up for me which is my favourite: the Homer Simpson SMRT bag or the classic Star Wars combo!"
- Michael Levy, Photographer

"I loved my bag because it didn't hurt to carry heavy groceries home with it. I can't say that about any other fabric bags I have, they all have such thin (canvas) straps. This was a BIG deal since I used to carry groceries home a lot. It was awesome to wash and dry too, and always soft."
- Claire Richardson (who gifted her bag to a friendly stranger who offered help)

"It's so amazing how much thought and consideration you've put into each and every one of these, with prints that have been so carefully and cheekily curated and preserved.

The testimonials prove that you've put a lot of heart into the bags, from the conception of the idea of these upcycled bags themselves, to how and where each print is located, and the work that has gone into constructing each item.

I'm very touched to have been provided one of these as a very thoughtful gift."

About

From simple sewing roots to fine art and up-cycled innovation

I am a textile artist with home sewing roots. From sewing with my Grandma Ruby, a trained tailor, to learning to nuno felt in Japan, I grew from my life experiences at home and abroad.

My art-making developed through post-secondary study of art history and classical liberal art studies at Bishop's in Quebec, and later in my focused study of textiles at Capilano University in North Vancouver, BC.

Using what I see around my studio and home on Salt Spring Island, I am propelled by creativity and innovation. I bring my fine woven scarves and shawls and earth-friendly up-cycled t-shirt bags to your doorstep via Etsy, with delight.

I love to make textiles using all kinds of handwork techniques. My main inspirations are my Grandma Ruby and my time spent living in Japan, where my brush with the textile traditions of Kyoto were etched into my memory.

Welcome, and thank you for visiting. The items you see are each made with Love in a small studio by the Pacific Ocean on Salt Spring Island, BC. While I weave and sew, I imagine a better life for textile workers all around the world and am creating a workshop series to teach kids about the scope of textile waste and the power of d.i.y. and up-cycling.

Returns and exchanges
Your satisfaction is very important to me, so if you have any problems at all, please be sure to contact me immediately; I want you to be happy with your purchase!

Since my experience with returns is very limited, I will consider each on a case by case basis. I would prefer to offer credit towards another item in my shop whenever possible. However, I also do not want my creations in a home where they are unwelcome, so hopefully, we can work together to resolve any issues.

Any return must be requested within 7 days (domestic) or 14 days (international) of customer receiving the item. If a return and subsequent refund is approved, it will be for the purchase price of the item(s) only, minus shipping charged, with the understanding that buyer is also responsible for return shipping costs.

If a return has been approved, item(s) must be returned promptly, shipped with tracking and email notification after having received approval, or no refund will be given. Instead, a code for credit will be issued toward future purchases in my shop. Returned items must also be received back in the same condition as they were sent, unless damage has been proven to have occurred in transit, of course.
Payment
I accept payments through PayPal.

Payment is to be made at the time of purchase. If your payment isn't received within 3 DAYS of placing your order, I will cancel your order.
Shipping
Your order will ship within 48 hours from the date of your purchase/payment. PLEASE feel free to contact me with any questions, etc., about your order.

I love to package things well. When convenient, packaging materials are reused and recycled.
