These are all so beautiful! I really like the combination of colors. I also like the names that you call the yarn. It gives me a visual. I'm a visual person so if I can imagine the scenery that makes the crocheting more satisfying for me. The texture is nice, soft, and durable. The delivery was speedy. My own mixed twills warp with my handdyed cotton warps. Most of this warp is still on the antique loom. April 2016
Band weaving is a great joy to me as well. It allows me to take my weaving anywhere.
Playing with color!
Where it all began... I wove this humble little scarf c. 1995 on a rigid heddle loom and I was hooked.

Nothing amazes me more than how you can take some string and make something beautiful.

A handwoven cloth is a very special thing. This ancient art has provided basic clothing, kept our babies warm, decorated our homes, and added fun accessories to our fashions. It never ceases to amaze me the beauty that comes from some thread and imagination.
My fingers touch every inch of every thread at least five times before I even begin to weave. This the warp, the threads that are put on the loom. The thread I weave with, that is wound on a shuttle, is the weft.
Once the piece is off the loom, it still needs to be wet finished: washed, pressed, and hemmed or fringed. Believe it or not, the actual weaving of the item is the shortest of all the steps unless it's a very complex pattern.
I use only the best quality threads and yarns. I'm a firm believer that if you're going to take the time to do something by hand, do it with the best you can find.

There is no craft that satisfies me like weaving. The feel of the shuttle in my hand and the magic of the growing cloth as the whoosh of the shed opens and closes. It's so rewarding to unwind the cloth at the end of a warp.
