I saw Kay Hogan’s work at an art walk one year and regretted not getting a similar piece. I was excited when I saw it on her shop! I love the look of the wood and string. Since it has older wood for the frame, I would not hang it on a high-traffic area, like on a door or where kids might reach it, but it is perfect above my favourite window. It looks great beside the birches outside, and the delicate, minimal prairie scenes are always so calming. So happy I was able to get it! It was easy to arrange a pick-up and to be reimbursed for the shipping. Thanks!

I got this painting commissioned after I lost my cat of sixteen years, and I now have this painting near my desk where my cat would sit on my lap while I worked every day – it is a great comfort whenever I start to miss him. I’ve since adopted two cats, and they seem to like it too. Kay Hogan was easy to work with and was accommodating to my needs, and she listened to my comments and suggestions, e.g., she incorporated some colours I requested. This painting came framed and wired, so it was hanging in minutes once I got it home. It was also easy to arrange a pick-up and get my shipping reimbursed.
