The Wood Piranha

The first half of the #husbandandwifeteam is The Wood Piranha. His job is to pick out the perfect piece of wood and prep it to be engraved. He's also in charge of managing the CNC machine making sure your design translates beautifully onto the wood.

The second half of the #husbandandwifeteam, The Sign Maker designs your sign as well as manages social media & customer service. Once signs are prepared, she stains, designs and paints your custom design and makes sure your happy with the results.

KHD&W is known as the #husbandandwifeteam but there's a secret 3rd member. The Designer has created the identity of Kendal Heights Decor & Woodworking creating the logo and graphics. She also manages the Etsy shop as well as our personal website.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalised orders
All of our listings are organized a little differently from one another. You'll be prompted with a drop-down menu consisting of design, size, stain and/or paint. For these, select the design, size, stain, or paint(s) option you would like for your sign using the photos listed as a guide. Your stain option will be the colour of your sign while your paint choices will be the colour of text and images. You'll also be prompted with a personalization box where we ask you to indicate the information given above the box. This could include names to be engraved, est date, stain, paint, etc. If you have any issues with customizing your order, please message us and we'll be happy to help!
Customizing signs further
We love working with our clients to make custom pieces! We can use our signs listed as a based and we can make changes to your liking such as changing images or text. Please message us before you order and we'll work with you to customize your sign further!
Approving your design
Before we engrave your sign, we will send you a computerized mock-up of your design to approve so please keep an eye on your messages. This is also the time we will ask if you want anything changed and confirmed your stain and paint colour choices.
