I am a Wooly Through and Through - Can't Get Enough of Designing with Wool!!!
Back in 2002 I discovered wool applique. I was immediately hooked and began Lake View Primitives, a small design company that I ran from home, focusing most of my designs on wool penny rugs. I searched and searched for fine quality wool and it took almost two years to find a source that provided the best wool, 100% pure wool with no fraying and that was consistent in color and quality. That's when I began to hand dye my own colors and create my own formulas so the patterns I designed could be duplicated in the same colors by dyeing the wool myself.
By 2004 I was offering the finest hand-dyed wool for rug hooking and wool applique. Keepsake Quilting has carried our products for years and we take pride in knowing that thousands of people around the world have worked with our wool and keep coming back for more!
I am now branching out a bit further by adding products and designs featuring hand-dyed wool yarn, and one of our newest ventures - felted soap using the highest quality 100% merino felted wool.
I still love designing, but spending more time making finished products has given me an opportunity to work more with my hands and continue to create offerings to share with those who do not sew or hook!
