Laurie's Design LAB es un proyecto en constante crecimiento. El interés por la ropa vintage e histórica que abarca múltiples generaciones comenzó con mi abuela, enseñándome a apreciar las telas finas y los estilos cuando era niña. Luego dediqué mi vida a aumentar mi conocimiento y amor por la ropa a través de una carrera histórica trabajando en todo, desde reparar alta costura vintage en boutiques de Manhattan hasta crear reproducciones de vestidos de corte isabelinos históricamente precisos e históricos; desde el vestuario burlesco divertido y llamativo, hasta la elegancia clásica y discreta.
Nuestro objetivo es hacer que la ropa vintage fabulosa y de moda sea accesible para cualquier persona lo suficientemente audaz y divertida como para usarla. Laurie's Design LAB is an ever-growing project. An interest in vintage and historical clothing spanning multiple generations began with my grandmother, teaching me to appreciate fine fabrics and styles as a young girl. I then dedicated my life to increasing my knowledge and love of clothing through a storied career working on everything from repairing vintage couture in Manhattan boutiques to creating one-of-a-kind historically accurate Elizabethan court dress reproductions; from fun, flashy burlesque costuming, to classic, understated elegance.
We aim to make fabulous, fashionable vintage clothing accessible to anyone bold and fun enough to wear it. We are always searching for a beautiful new pattern, an arresting silhouette, a gorgeous fabric, or simply a piece that will become your new favorite.
