About LeasBoutique

Sales 5,337
On Etsy since 2009

I was born in Moscow, Russia where at the time it was difficult to find any unique clothing in the markets. Because of that, one of my hobbies was to sew my own clothing. Since I loved doing things with my hands, making accessories, such as belts, to match my clothing seemed like a fantastic idea. Some of my friends really liked my work, and suggested that I sell it. I began my career by making leather belts and makeup cases, which went faster than hot cakes. It did not take long for me expend my collection to leather purses, earrings, bracelets, and rings. For decoration I started to use paint and semi-precious stones.

When I moved to Canada with my family, I started playing around with new ideas and given my interest in the fantasy and horror genre, I changed my style significantly. Today my style is a mix of Gothic, horror, fantasy, and steampunk. Outside of my online stores, I participate in Fan Expo and ComiCon.

In 2015, I have been contacted by Joseph A. Porro who at the time was working as a costume designer for the WGN TV show Salem. Joseph asked me to create three large pieces in my “evil eye” style. The costume appeared in the finale of season 2 episode 12. He also purchased several other items that were used in the show. After the season was done, the costume was displayed in FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles. The museum also purchased some jewelry from me in the same style as the costume

Thank you very much for visiting my store and please let me know if you have any questions or special requests.
