Announcement
Happy New Year!! After a busy Christmas season, we are again open to receiving orders.
Looking for a gift for someone? We all want to give a gift of meaning. Again and again we hear from our customers that a carved hymn has been so well received by the recipient as the gift speaks of meaning and deep truths carved as a beautiful keepsake.
Maybe you are not looking to purchase. Then simply take time to walk through our shop and read the lyrics of hymns and old prayers, written by people who have walked through deep pain, uncertainties, loss, illness, healing, victories and strength.
Choose from our increasing number of hymns or contact us if you have a hymn that is not featured on our site. Contact us if you would like a hymn, prayer, creed, devotion or other document that is NOT featured on this site.
Go to www.flipsnack.com/9C7ACF6D75E/ and view several of our hymnals to choose the hymn and style you would like.
We look forward to serving you.

5 out of 5 starsThis item turned out beautiful! It was a gift to my boss who’s an organist. He absolutely loves it! It’s a hymn from the hymnal he grew up with and started his career playing.

4 out of 5 starsThe item was excellent! The font was a bit small so I’d recommend getting the larger one.

Do you have a Rush Order Option?
When possible to expedite it in light of current workload, we can put a rush on your order. It is an extra CA $50 charge for Rush Order and an additional cost for shipping if being shipped other than above options. Contact us if you need this.
Do you do custom orders?
Yes. We charge an extra CA$30 - $60, depending on the amount of work needed to prepare a document for carving.
What is considered a custom order?
1. Any hymn that is a special one-time order (not in the public domain for a possible future listing)
2. Any changes made to a standard carving, is considered a custom order.
3. Carving scripture passages or verses.
In all of the above scenarios, we send you a digital proof of the proposed piece to get your feedback and your approval. We send you a PayPal invoice. When we receive your payment, we begin the carving.
How can I get a hymn carved that is not listed?
We love to do hymns that are not yet listed in our shop. We keep increasing our selection.
1. Maybe you would like a hymn carved which we don't have listed. Let us know and we can look for it in our hymnals, send you a digital rendering and if you like it, we carve it.
2. Maybe you prefer a certain style or look. The carving is the exact image of a page from a hymnal. We only use hymnals that are in the public domain - 50 years or older. We have a wide variety of hymnals. Go to www.flipsnack.com/9C7ACF6D75E/ and view several of our hymnals to choose the hymn and style you would like.
What if I have a specific hymn I want carved that is from a hymnal with which I am familiar and you don’t have the hymnal?
1. If it is published in 1969 or before, scan the hymn and we can carve that specific one for you.
2. We only use songs in the public domain. If you would like a carving of a song that is still under copyright protection (published after 1969), we ask that you contact the composer or publisher and get written permission for a "one-time" carving. (This is then a CUSTOM order)
What if it does not have the “hymn look”?
We carve the exact image what is given to us. If a song is not written in hymn style (music notation with verses and chorus), we do not write music or rework a piece.
How can I get a scripture passage carved?
1. Contact us. Send us the scriptures you want.
2. Let us know which translation to use: The King James, New King James and New American Standard Version are in the public domain and can be used without special permission.
3. We do the layout in several fonts and send it to you to choose your preference.
4. The pricing is determined by length of carving and size of the piece. We use Microsoft Word counter to determine the length.
Do you have a selection of stain colors?
We use stains that best accentuate the striking features in the wood such as bird's eye, quilting and tiger stripe.
We use a standard stain but contact us if you would like something else.
Wood is a natural material; therefore, the exact tone of the stain color cannot be guaranteed because each piece of wood absorbs it in its own way.
Is it possible to delete shipping costs for local customers?
Yes. Pick-up is made available and the shipping will be refunded. Contact us if you want local pick-up.
How long does it take for you to respond to inquiries?
We usually try to respond within 24 to 48 hours. Our shop is closed on Sundays and holidays. We look forward to hearing from our customers.
