hand stamping your initial, date, name or other, are Final Sale. Also final sale are any pieces of jewelry where custom chain lengths are cut for you, all custom orders, bridesmaid sets, etc. All hand stamping is done by hand not machine and you can expect imperfections in distance and alignment of the stamping.

I work with 14k gold filled and 925 sterling silver metals as well as plated.
925 sterling silver will tarnish over time. Silver will react to moisture and chemicals in the air, perfumes, lotions, water, Chemicals like chlorine and salt can damage silver so avoid wearing while swimming or when in the shower. I suggest you store your piece of jewelry in a dry, air-tight bag such as a ziplock bag. You can use a silver polishing cloth as well to keep your silver shiny.
14k gold filled jewelry can be cleaned by washing it gently with warm, soapy water. Allow to dry and then use a soft dry cloth or gold polishing cloth. Gold vermeil jewelry will also tarnish like silver so store it in a dry air tight bag as well.

Gold-filled has layers of gold alloy bonded to a metal core, usually brass or sterling silver, rather than one external layer of pure gold. It does contain real gold, along with various alloys. The process involves pressure bonding many layers of solid 14k gold with extreme heat over a core of high quality jeweller’s brass. This results in a durable, quality real gold product. Your piece of jewelry will be thicker and more durable than gold plated.
