La storia...
Sebbene il mio background sia in finanza e imprenditoria, sono cresciuto circondato da molta arte e cornici e ho anche creato alcune opere d'arte. (Questo mi ha aiutato molto a decidere, a volte pezzo per pezzo, cosa avrebbe fatto bella figura sulla parete di un cliente.)
Diversi anni fa ho aiutato a demolire una piccola baracca nella proprietà di un amico costruita negli anni '20. Dopo essermi chiesto cosa avrei potuto fare con un po' di legno, ho deciso di costruire alcune strutture e sono rimasto sorpreso dalla risposta degli altri.
Progetto e assemblo queste montature perché durino una vita (o due). Come consumatore, voglio acquistare cose che so che a qualcuno importano e che so che dureranno. Come designer, creatore e stratega, mi sforzo di creare prodotti che riflettano il modo in cui vedo il mondo, i miei valori e il modo in cui voglio inserirmi nel quadro generale.
Quando ho iniziato questa attività, mi sono impegnato a non far mai aprire una scatola a un cliente e a non pensare di aver ricevuto meno di quanto aveva dato, e a rispondere sempre in modo rapido e tempestivo a qualsiasi esigenza o preoccupazione del cliente con azioni, non solo parole. Finora, la mia esperienza è che le persone apprezzano davvero questo tipo di trattamento. Inoltre, una struttura in legno di fienile solida e ben costruita è davvero un'opera d'arte, oltre che un pezzo di storia! Spesso mi ritrovo a chiedermi quante mani diverse potrebbero aver toccato quel pezzo di legno nel secolo o più in cui è stato in una struttura.
Quando non cerco di soddisfare tutti i vostri ordini e di trovare nuove idee, mi piace trascorrere del tempo all'aria aperta e apprezzare la natura. Spesso trovo ispirazione nella bellezza di tutto ciò.

The Story...
Although my background is in Finance and Entrepreneurship,, I did grow up around a good deal of art and frames, as well as, created some of the art. (This has aided me greatly in deciding, piece by piece sometimes, what will look good on a customer's wall.)
Several years ago I helped tear down a small shack on a friend's property built in the 1920's. Upon wondering what I could do with some of the wood, I decided to build a few frames and was surprised at the response from others.
I design and assemble these frames to last a lifetime (or two). As a consumer, I want to buy things that I know someone has cared about and that I know will last. As a designer, maker and strategist, I strive to create products that reflect how I see the world, my values and the way I want to fit into the big picture.
When I began this business, I made a commitment that I never wanted a customer opening a box and feeling that they received less than what they gave, as well as, always responding quickly and promptly to any of my customer's needs or concerns with actions, not just words. It has been my experience so far that people truly appreciate this kind of treatment. Plus, a well built and solid barn wood frame is truly a piece of art, as well as, its own piece of history! I often find myself wondering about all the different hands that may have touched that piece of wood in the century or more that it was in a structure.
When I am not trying to fill all of your orders and come up with new ideas, I enjoy spending time outdoors and appreciating nature. I often find inspiration in the beauty of it all.
