Thanks for stopping by my shop!

For as long as I can remember I’ve been sewing and it’s always brought me so much happiness.

A decade ago, when I went on maternity leave with my first son, I knew I would be staying at home with him. Somewhere between that first mat leave and my third baby, I realized I wanted to find something to fill my time that wasn’t baby-related. That’s when I rediscovered my love for sewing and cross stitching.

When my youngest kiddo started kindergarten full-time a few years ago, I found myself with more time to sew! I was able to try new things, and improve my skills. I stepped way out of my comfort zone and signed up for some local craft festivals and markets. The response I received was overwhelming - people loved what I was making! I opened my Etsy shop soon after and haven’t turned back.

My family has been my testing ground for all of my projects. Everything I make for my shop is something that has been tried and tested within my own family. If we don’t use it in our home, I don’t make it for my shop.

When I’m in my cozy sewing nook, I’m either rocking out to my favourite playlists on Spotify or binging on the latest series with on Netflix. There’s usually a dog or two laying by my feet and a hot tea on my desk beside me.

When I’m not sewing, you can find me wandering around the woods and connecting with natures with any combination of kids, dogs and husband (or even - gasp - by myself), practicing yoga, playing board games, testing out new recipes in the kitchen, or just spending time with friends and family.

A month or so ago, my oldest son was delaying bedtime and asked me what it is about sewing that I love. My quick response to get him to go to bed was “Everything”. But as I sewed away that night, he really got me thinking. And I realized that I truly do love everything about sewing. From choosing the fabrics and imagining the possibilities to cutting and prepping, to actually sewing - there’s not one thing about my work I don’t love. And now that I’ve turned my sewing into my work, I love posting on Etsy, filling orders, and I especially love going to local crafts markets and festivals to speak to the people who love my creations as much as I do.
