I have requested that you spend a minimum of $10 USD per order because the amount of time and physical labour involved in packing up itsy bitsy orders is proving unsustainable for me. I try to use the most eco-friendly packaging that I can. I am always looking for ways to make my packaging more eco-friendly. I don't buy plastic bubble wrap, but I reuse any that I receive.
-I try to purchase only unbleached kraft mailers that are completely recyclable if you remove the mailing label.
-The brown packing tape I use is biodegradable.
-Ziplock bags I use are biodegradable “greenline” brand. These bags will biodegrade 100 times faster than current life estimates for standard plastic bags in landfills.
-The tissue paper I use is 100% recycled and unbleached. It is recyclable (if your recycling facility accepts tissue paper).

For shipping within Canada, I now use Oversized Lettermail from Canada Post. In order to ship using this service, the packages need to be thin (under 2cm) in height. Honestly, I really wish that there were more options to ship within Canada, but there just aren't. Some items are either too delicate or bulky to fit in the thin packages. I need to ship them with more padding than will fit. In particular, I will not ship stone beads and pendants using Oversized Lettermail, as I don't want them to break during transit.

Many of the beads I sell are on temporary strands. The strands are temporary as you will need to restring them to use the beads. It's just a way of packaging the beads. For the vintage beads, the string is often very brittle, and the strands often break.

Even if the beads are pictured on a strand, please do not be surprised if they are "loose" when you receive them. When I say that beads will ship "loose", I mean that I will count the beads out into a little ziplock bag.
