How My Love of Painting Began (Again!)
Descubrí mi pasión por la pintura a los veinte años. En aquella época, incluso tuve una tienda de artículos de manualidades donde impartía diversos talleres de arte y artesanía. Mis clases favoritas siempre fueron las de pintura, donde la gente podía relajarse, dar rienda suelta a su creatividad y disfrutar del proceso de crear algo con sus propias manos.
Tras varios años maravillosos, finalmente cerré la tienda y, a medida que mi vida se volvía más ajetreada, la pintura fue pasando poco a poco a un segundo plano.
Hace unos años, mi esposo me recordó cuánto me gustaba pintar. Para Navidad, hace cuatro años, me sorprendió con lienzos, pinceles y pinturas. Resultó ser uno de los mejores regalos que me ha hecho (¡aunque él quizás no esté de acuerdo!). Ese regalo reavivó mi creatividad y me inspiró a volver a pintar.
Desde entonces, pinto siempre que tengo oportunidad. Me resulta increíblemente relajante y me encanta experimentar con diferentes colores y técnicas. Una de las cosas que más disfruto es crear acabados únicos utilizando una variedad de herramientas: desde pinceles tradicionales hasta esponjas, plástico de burbujas e incluso toallitas húmedas para bebés.
Pintar me produce muchísima alegría, y me encanta compartir esa creatividad con los demás a través de los diseños que ofrezco y los kits de pintura.
I discovered my love of painting in my twenties. During that time, I even owned a craft supply shop where I taught a variety of arts and crafts classes. My absolute favorite classes were always the paint sessions, where people could relax, be creative, and enjoy the process of making something with their own hands.
After several wonderful years, I eventually closed the shop, and as life became busier, painting slowly faded into the background.
A few years ago, my husband reminded me just how much I loved it. For Christmas four years ago, he surprised me with canvases, brushes, and paints. It turned out to be one of the best gifts he has ever given me (though he might not agree!). That gift rekindled my creativity and inspired me to start painting again.
Since then, I’ve been painting every chance I get. I find it incredibly relaxing and love experimenting with different colors and techniques. One of the things I enjoy most is creating unique finishes using a variety of tools—everything from traditional brushes to sponges, bubble wrap, and even baby wipes.
Painting brings me so much joy, and I love sharing that creativity with others through the designs I offer and paint kits.
