We are Wanderful

After traveling to many festivals and fairs as patrons we became inspired and decided to start our own little business and created MacFie's Wizard Shop. The MacFie Clan hail from the Isles of Scotland, where generations past became associated with the faerie folk, were granted title of "Keeper of the records" and are now the creators of magical objects. We are a husband and wife duo with educational backgrounds in history and fine art. We have always had interests in our family history, wizards, witches, faeries, mystical creatures, and medieval life. The Canadian MacFie Clan have been working in the wood industry for over 200 years and it was very natural to combine our interests with wood crafting.
We started years ago making walking sticks as a hobby and then decided to expand into wands. One of the things we take great pride in is the large range of woods we use in the creation of our wands. We do not paint, stain, varnish or alter the woods we use in any way. The colour of the wand you see is the actual colour of the wood. The only added element to our wands is an all natural locally produced water resistant teak oil. We specifically use teak oil as a natural way to protect and enhance the richness of the wood.
