Frequently asked questions
What's your shop policy on returning patterns or kits?

Because of the nature of these items, there is no return or exchange on patterns or kits. However, if you are having difficulty, please contact me, as I will be glad to work with you to deal with your issues.

Are your fabrics colourfast after stitching?

Yes, my fabrics do hold their colour very well. I go to great lengths during the dying process to make sure of that, as I too find my stitching looks much better after a wash. To make sure you have no problems, use just a drop of mild dish soap, such as blue Dawn, wash gently in cold water, rinse gently and thoroughly in cold water, then roll in a towel to squeeze excess moisture (don't twist), then lay flat to dry.

These steps will help to ensure a successful washing. However, I can only address my fabrics, not the floss. If you are concerned about colour bleed, use a "colour catcher" such as Rit Laundry Treatment when washing.

Why are your patterns different prices?

I price my patterns by taking into account several factors, such as simplicity, size, number of pages, and whether there is an artist who gets a share. The biggest factor is the number of pages, because I sell hardcopies, and they are printed on high-quality bright-white paper. The number of pages in the pattern is also reflected in the shipping cost.

Custom and personalised orders

Yes I do! If you're looking for a special piece, please contact me and we can talk about it!

Custom and personalised orders

Yes I can - in some ways. For example, I can remove the background, or change the colour scheme, or upsize or downsize, add custom text, or whatever! Not all patterns are customizable, but if you have something special in mind, contact me and I will be glad to work with you to get exactly what you need.
