MLHCO.ca all started as a mom and pop shop out of inspiration from our twins. We learned the hard way how difficult some days with toddlers can be, and we design all of our products with that in mind! We take pride in thinking through all of the challenges of parenthood, and offering solutions to them through each and every one of our heirloom quality products. They are good for your kids, but also sanity savers for you!
The very first product that we created to help parents lives be a little easier was our Classic Two Tiered learning tower design, our of our need for them ourselves. Check out our full shop to explore!

How it all started...
You may be wondering to yourself, how did a paediatric RN start an etsy shop creating learning towers for toddlers?
Well, when my twins were around a year old, I wanted to build them their very own learning towers, since I couldn't find them for sale anywhere! Isn't it better to have the pride in making it yourself anyways!? A while later and many problems down the road, I found myself investing in lots of specialty tools to be able to make the design I wanted (the sleek, modern style with a fairly narrow profile - not the clunky ones I found other people making!). After running into a bunch of problems with trying to make this sleek design, and seeing how much my twin daughters ADORED their towers, I decided I wanted to help other busy parents by bringing them access to these sleek life-savers without going through the hassle that I had to! That was in April 2019. The rest is history! We are still a very small shop, but continue to have satisfied customers - and that's what matters most to us!

Care instructions
Our solid wood learning towers are easily wipeable with our specialty enamel. Simply wipe clean with a soap and water on a cloth! They stand up to daily toddler-sized messes. Even washable marker wipes off like a dream - we know from experience!
Custom and personalised orders
We do not accept customized orders. For the most part, all of our learning towers are now made in small batches ahead of time so we can get it to you fast and still take our time creating quality!
Gift Address
If you wish to have an item delivered directly to a gift recipient, you can enter the recipient's mailing address during checkout. If you do not enter the recipient's mailing address, the delivery address will show us to ship to your home address, and shipping may be calculated wrongly.
Make sure to let the us know the order is a gift being sent directly to the gift recipient. You can do this by adding a note during checkout and marking the item as a gift during checkout.

Gift wrapping and packaging
We offer special gift wrapping at seasonal times of the year (like Christmas), with oversized ribbons, etc. Please contact us if there is something you are looking for specifically, and we can see what we can do!
When will my order be ready?
Typical processing times are 2-5 business days maximum, but please see what are turnaround times are specifically when you place your order, as they can fluctuate. If you are wanting it for a littles birthday party, or for a certain date, please let us know! We would love to be able to work with you to get it to you in time for your special day.
What ages are they suitable for?
Toddlers start enjoying learning towers around 12-14 months, but it really depends on the child & their developmental stage.
Please use your own judgement to determine if your child is steady enough on their feet.
Our twins started using them at 14 months (when Rachel had finally finished perfecting the model!). They learned how to climb into their towers independently after only two tries of Rachel gently guiding their head under the dowel. The twins have been using them daily ever since! Parents typically tell us they use them well into the fifth year of life.
They are specifically designed to grow with your toddler, by having the removeable dowel that can be present in the early years and removed later for independence!
Disclaimer
Parents need to independently decide if the age and developmental stage of their toddler is suitable for using the learning tower. Towers should always be used with close parent supervision.
Learning towers are not to be used on any uneven surfaces, or put on top of surfaces other than the floor (not for use on top of area rugs). The child is not to be leaning over top of the rails at any time. Parent assistance and close supervision is necessary, especially for entering and exiting the learning towers.
How does the removable dowel work?
Our brand new design of our Classic Two Tiered Tower, has a removable dowel that allows for our towers to better grow with your child. In the younger years, you will likely want to keep the dowel in place most of the time to ensure their safety. As they grow older, you can easily use the hand screw to unscrew and slide the dowel out so they can get in and out easily.
