Why the name McFly Designs? Honestly, it’s just a fun phrase to say.
My name is Kari Jackson. I was born & raised in Atlanta but have called San Diego my home for the past 6 years. Growing up I would dabble in drawing & sketching but never put much thought or effort because I just couldn’t see it leading to anything worthwhile. At best it was just a minor hobby.
This would change in 2018. I was working on a potential business venture that required lots of graphic design material. Not having the money to outsource this to a professional, I took the advice of a buddy who suggested that I just buy graphic software and create the material myself. After weeks of trial and error (any too many youtube tutorials to recall), I got all of my designs prepped and ready to go. The satisfaction of channeling my thoughts into visuals pieces of art was something I never experienced before. The experience convinced me to finally develop this artistic aspect that I neglected for so long.
I would spend the next 5+ years honing and refining my abilities, understanding different artistic styles in the hopes of finding mine. And from this, I made the decision to launch McFly Designs.
With McFly Designs (see, isn’t it fun to say?), I focus on producing colorful activewear accesories and clothing, such as my premium double layered sweat proof headbands. Fitness has always been a love for me and the marriage between it and graphic design was inevitable. If you are someone who feels alive every time they go on a jog, pushes through that last rep, nails the perfect sequence of Zumba moves, or finally masters their favorite yoga pose, than let my premium activewear items and apparel be your partner and give you that extra support.
I examine all of my activewear and athleisure apparel to insure that what I crafted in front of my computer matches what you receive in your hands. Designing art has and will always be therapeutic for me and my goal is to deliver that same type of bliss when you receive your premium activewear gift.
