About

Let your work be your love made visible

Métier Doré (means The Golden Loom in French) was born in June 2014, shortly after I bought my first loom. At that point, I just needed to register my company in order to give myself a confirmation: now you are going to make a living from what you truly love, and that's official.

Today, my little company keeps following the destination once chosen: honoring traditional crafts by commemorating them in perfect products. I have always been profoundly inspired by technical intelligence and knowledge of our ancestors, yet I am not less inspired by the variety and high quality of wools, linens, cottons and silks available today. And then, there is the eternal nature, my greatest inspiration ever...

The result of my work is mostly unique pieces and collections. I work from the inspiration of the moment, which often equals to what I have in hand as fiber or fabric. I appreciate the force and purity of morning energy and try to take advantage of it. I take my time when it is necessary. I listen to my intuition when making choices and decisions. My creative process is not so much about expressing myself, but more about searching and finding my true self. I try to make things that are "good and honest and true" (c) for you to enjoy.
