About

My name is Rachel, and I'm the maker behind Midheaven Incense. I began making incense just as a fun DIY idea, since I love burning incense in my home. After some research on how to make my own incense I noticed an inconsistency in the level of natural ingredients. Many of the commercial incense I loved contained potassium nitrate (or saltpetre), a burning accelerant, which as it turns out is not a natural or safe ingredient to breathe constantly. I've continued to make incense for my own use from then on, toying with blends so they burn clean, on their own, and free from synthetic additives.
Through this I've had a lot of support and interest in my handmade, natural process that has spurred me to get my incense out into the wild and fill others' homes with loving intention.

Midheaven is derived from the term Medium Coeli- a point found on ones astrological birth chart, considered to be related to ones goals and aspirations, drive and work ethic. I feel Midheaven is a suitable name through which to express my creative drive and my desire to share my accomplishments with others.

Frequently asked questions

Sizing details

Incense Cones are about 1" tall

For those with allergies to certain ingredients and/or fragrances

Please let me know your needs and I will do my best to accommodate. I keep all of my ingredients in the same area, however in separate containers.

Care instructions

Fragrances will mix together a bit if multiple blends are in direct contact with each other. Keep different blends separate to avoid this.
For custom/mixed packages, I have various sized ziploc bags to keep blends separate.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Packaging consists of a linen fabric bag with jute ties. The cones inside are in a ziploc bag(s) to keep fresh and separate.
