Mod On Main: The Shop Experience
Initially beginning as an independent brokerage consultant in 2004, the concept of growing into a 'quality used furnishings' reseller began to take form as interior designer, Janice Milliner, introduced Brian Britza to the art & science of furniture buying, trading & selling. The couple share an appreciation for quality artisan craftsmanship with a special affection for modern era furnishings. Within two years, the 'business concept' evolved as a much-favored supplier of Mid Century Modern furnishings to high-end design houses in Pittsburgh, New York, California and Texas. Mod On Main has also provided stage pieces for set designs for several major films produced in Pittsburgh including the Batman movie; The Dark knight Rises.
In the spring of 2012, to the delight of faithful patrons everywhere, Mod On Main opened their 'brick & mortar' doors at 400 West Main Street in downtown Monongahela, Pennsylvania. And from there, Mod On Main's popularity and success, continues to expand and grow!
Mod On Main passionately enjoys showcasing the time-honored creations of innovative designers, artisans and craftsmen from the much celebrated Mid Century Modern Era. Mod On Main also takes joy in presenting furnishings and original works of art from the 19th, 20th and 21st Century. As shop owners of 'quality used mainly modern furnishings', we are privileged to be able to present a diverse collection of items which depict the best of shabby chic, old-world antiques and creative timeless innovations.
Mod On Main's 'Antiques-Vintage-As-Is' Merchandise:
Mod On Main (MOM) advances every effort to provide full disclosure/accurate descriptions of condition(s) along with a detailed photographic exhibition of item(s) in advance of sale to provide the utmost consumer awareness. MOM is not in the business of restoration. All used vintage items are sold in 'as-is' condition. Questions from potential buyers regarding a particular item are encouraged and are answered objectively appropriately.
As a reseller of vintage 'as-is' items, all items are considered used and as such 'normal wearing' is considered good used (as-is) condition. Potential buyers should be aware that any dents, nicks & 'dings', scratches, patina, corrosion, watermarks, chipping, rust, oxidation, discoloration are typical on vintage pieces sold by MOM.
In certain items, these conditions are desired among procurers of vintage items. Significant damage is identified.
