Like many great adventures, Moonroot Handcrafts began with a story and a simple idea. I am a lifelong science fiction reader and a lover of intricate design. For me, the thrill of discovering a new, imaginative world is only matched by the satisfaction of holding a piece of that world in my hand.

It all changed when I read Andy Weir’s masterpiece, Project Hail Mary. I was completely captivated by the brilliant engineering and heartwarming resilience of the unique Eridian engineer, Rocky . His spirit, ingenuity, and simple, profound philosophy—"Amaze! Amaze! Amaze!"—just stuck with me.
I wanted a physical reminder of Rocky, something I could keep with me or put on my desk. Unable to find what I was looking for, I decided to make it myself. Moonroot Handcrafts was born.

Each of our 3D-printed miniatures is more than just an object; it’s a tiny tribute. To honor Rocky’s sophisticated five-legged physiology, I chose to render him in complex, recursive, mineral-like lattice work. Every detail, every complex mesh, is designed with meticulous care.
We use advanced resin 3D-printing and carefully selected pigments to produce a durable, high-detail finish. When you choose a Moonroot piece, you're not getting a generic trinket, but a piece of fan art made with obsessive attention to the source material.
