The Beginning of MuMo Sisters
We're ILDZE and LIENE, and we go by MuMo Sisters now! A few things about us:
We are five years apart in age. Liene is the big sister and a proud mother of a six years old boy.
Ildze seeks a balance of family (with one two years old boy and one soon to be six years old girl) and studies and two jobs both in education field.
We come from a strong female and math teacher family. Our grandmother from father's side was a math teacher, our mother was one too (now she's still in education, but more in scientific and methodologic campus). At the present it's Ildze who continues the path even though for some years she avoided her own childhood dream to become a teacher one day.
For the last six years we have lived six minutes walk from each other which together with the fact of becoming mothers six years ago brought us closer than ever. Becoming the MuMoSisters was inevitable.
Ildze has always had (and still her mind continues to produce) plenty of math visual and educational material ideas who need to be spread out.
Liene (with a little help from the changes caused by Covid19) decided to readjust a few things in her life and to dedicate more of her time to learn some new things and try to invest her newly acquired knowledge in the education field who she always has considered as one of the most meaningful matters.
So we decided to join out forces and launch the new project MuMoMath where Ildze represents the educational ideas section and Liene is responsible for design and technical support.
Now more than ever - a few moments before our own kids are starting school - we want to help children understand math with ease providing home school mums, parents of kids at school age and math teachers with powerful math visuals.
