Handmade Soap is our passion. We’ve been making soap for quite some time now almost 10 years! We luv thrift shopping for vintage treasures too!

Hi everyone thanks for coming by my shop. I have been soaping now since January 2010. On a visit to Alberta to spend Christmas with my sister, I was introduced to soapmaking by a gift my sister received from someone who made soap. My sister said, Lori, you should try and make this! I went to chapters and found a soapmaking book and literally read it page to page. When I got home after the holidays I went to the library went online, watched YouTube, anything I could get my hands on to learn how to be a soap maker. I bought equipment and oils and found a supplier and ordered everything I needed to make my first soap. It was an oatmeal and honey soap. It turned out good considering my soap molds were rustic and handmade. I was hooked after that. I had to make more! How addicting! I eventually found myself selling soap in a small shop here in Thunder Bay and after a summer there we had our name out to some people. I’ve never looked back. We’ve grown a lot since then, made a whole bunch of new friends, customers, and followers. In my lifetime I will never stop making soap. I love it and love sharing my passion with you all! We also love to make crafts that are fun and beautiful and functional as well and if we have something that we really think you’d like we post them here. And last but not least we love to go to the Goodwill thrift shops looking for those precious vintage treasures that we can share with you here. When we find something special that’s old and beautiful we love to embrace it and hope that it finds a home in someone’ heart. These things need to be treasured and taken care of.

Thank you so much

Lori
