Welcome to OnceInANewMoon
For as long as I can remember I’ve loved to draw, design and create. When I was five years old I made a skirt and blouse out of material snagged from the rag bag. Both were wrap-around styles; cutting out holes for my arms and slits for buttons pilfered from the odds-and-ends tin. I was so proud of myself, and devastated when my mom refused to let me wear my new outfit to school!
My skills have improved since then, and my desire to draw, design and create is still an important part of my life. Having been a graphic designer for over 30 years and astounded by the endless capabilities computer programs accomplish, I still missed the satisfaction you get from the tactile feel of a finished product.
Now I enjoy upcycling gently used wool sweaters to create fun loving Snuggle Buttons, and dusting off forgotten vintage table linens and turning them into beautiful one-of-a-kind aprons.
Thank you for visiting OnceInANewMoon. Stop by often as I’m always coming up with something new to share.
Best wishes,
Jeri
